A study published at the beginning of the week shows that Greenland has been dramatically warmer in the past. 

The study examined samples of sub-ice material beneath Prudhoe Dome, a key ice cap part of the Greenland Ice Sheet.  The samples show complete deglaciation of Prudhoe Dome around 7,000 years ago – and yet sea levels were lower than they are today.

In my view, 2025 will go down as the year the climate grift was fully exposed. The virtue signalling from governments and global elites hit new lows and people started waking up. We’ve seen climate anxiety plummet among young people as they access more real-world information and witness the blatant hypocrisy. Take the COP conference in Belém, Brazil – held in a region where residents lack basic sanitation.

I can’t imagine their top concern is a slight increase in temperature or atmospheric CO₂. Events like that put the agenda on full display.

I’m proud to have played a part in exposing this, bringing data and observations to the masses that were suppressed just a few years ago through organised “consensus” manufacturing. I hope this trend accelerates in 2026. My goal is to keep publishing about two articles per week, spotlighting the inconvenient truths the climate narrative sweeps under the rug. These highlight how the benefits of cheap, reliable energy from “fossil fuels” far outweigh the catastrophic predictions that have never materialised. So much of what we’ve been fed, even from high-ranking institutions like the National Climate Assessment, has proven not just wrong, but often the complete opposite of reality.

One stark example: The first National Climate Assessment in 2000 predicted heat waves would become nearly yearly events. Instead, the number of hot days has decreased across most of the United States, except the West Coast.

My mission this year is to hold these government and academic institutions accountable, along with the corporate media that amplifies their storylines without ever checking the data.

A perfect case in point is a brand-new paper published in Nature Geoscience on 5 January 2026, about Greenland’s Prudhoe Dome.

This ties directly into what I’ve called the “Greenland Warming Paradox,” which I detailed in a previous article. In short, Greenland has been dramatically warmer in the past … like during the Holocene Thermal Maximum 9,000 to 5,000 years ago, when temperatures were 4-8.5°C higher than today, yet sea levels were lower. This challenges the alarmist claims that modest modern warming will drown the world.

The new paper reveals that Prudhoe Dome, a key part of northwestern Greenland’s ice sheet, was completely ice-free around 7,000 years ago during the early Holocene. This happened at pre-industrial CO₂ levels, under natural warming of just 3-5°C above today’s temperatures. If CO₂ is the supposed driver of today’s melting, why was Greenland deglaciating back then without any human emissions?

This is the kind of bombshell that should make headlines for debunking the narrative, but instead, it’s being spun as a warning for future warming.

It’s a classic example of how ideology twists science. I’ve been ahead of the curve on this … discussing these paradoxes on my Substack long before they hit academic journals or media. It gives me great pleasure to see these ideas percolate out, but it’s also a reminder of how ingrained the alarmism still is.

Governments are tightening control over what citizens can say online. The worldwide slide toward punishing speech has profound consequences for open societies, Julian Adorney writes.

Hashtag Handcuffs: The Global Rise of Online Speech Policing

In November, South Korean President Lee Jae-myung launched a crackdown on so-called hate speech online, claiming that such speech “crosses the boundary of freedom of expression.” Punishments can include fines and up to seven years in prison.

Unfortunately, South Korea’s not alone in its push to police what ordinary people can say on social media. Other countries that have recently passed laws to curtail citizens’ speech include Belarus, China, Turkey, Russia, Poland, Thailand, Brazil, Syria, and India. Like South Korea, these countries punish such speech harshly: in Turkey, citizens can face imprisonment of up to three years for a retweet, and in Poland, prison sentences can run up to five years for an online insult.

Even countries that have historically respected freedom of speech and individual rights are backsliding: Germany recently cracked down on hate speech online, France has fined citizens for insulting its leaders, and the United Kingdom – once a bastion of Enlightenment ideals – now arrests 30 citizens per day for making offensive posts or comments online. In 2024, British subject Jordan Plain was sentenced to eight months in prison for filming himself making racist gestures and comments.

Even the United States is starting to backslide. When Larry Bushart posted a meme about a Charlie Kirk vigil in Perry County, Tennessee, local law enforcement arrested him. He spent 37 days in jail.

As the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (“FIRE”)’s Matthew Harwood argues, we are entering a “global free speech recession.”

In one sense, the global crackdown on online speech is understandable. Most people support freedom of speech, but balance this support with their support of other priorities, such as their desire to cultivate a culture that respects the rights and dignity of minorities. In the last decade, social media has shocked many of us with evidence of how heinous the views of some of our fellow citizens are. It’s understandable that someone might see a post on X with thousands of likes that implies that black Americans are genetically inferior to white Americans and conclude that the government ought to do something to punish this kind of hateful speech.

But for all that the impulse to censor can be noble-hearted, it’s also wrong-headed. In practice, attempts to punish so-called hate speech run into several big problems.

First, these laws are written and implemented by flawed human beings in power, and history shows that people in power tend to prioritise their own interests. Advocates may intend these laws to support the dignity of downtrodden minorities, but somehow, the people in power always decide that their own dignity is the highest priority. In Germany, for instance, politician Renate Künast supported punishing online speech on the grounds that some of her political opponents attributed a fake quote to her. “This harms my reputation,” she said, also complaining that she received online insults such as “You’re looking so ugly” or “You are an old woman.”

These insults surely sting. But Künast is also one of the most powerful and successful people in the country. Surely prosecutors ought to have higher priorities than protecting her from the affront of some constituents calling her ugly online?

It’s not just Künast. In France, a woman was arrested in 2023 and fined 12,000 euros for the crime of insulting French President Emmanuel Macron. Lèse-Majesté laws (which punish “an offence violating the dignity of a ruler”) are some of the oldest laws against free speech in the world, for the simple reason that the politicians who enforce censorship laws tend to prioritise punishing people they feel have insulted them personally.

In some countries, the intention of these laws to protect those in power is even made explicit. In 2019, for instance, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a new law which would allow police to punish citizens for spreading information that the government feels presents “clear disrespect for society, government, state symbols, the constitution and government institutions.”

A second big problem with laws against so-called hate speech is that “hate speech” is a nebulous concept. One person’s hate speech is another person’s righteous indignation or fiery truth-telling. Consider the case of Trump suing CNN on the grounds that the network compared him too much to Adolf Hitler. Is such a comparison hate speech and disinformation, or is it a fair comparison? That probably depends on your opinion about the president. What is clear is that if Trump gets to determine the answer to that question, then a lot of honest criticism might get stifled as a result.

Or consider the case of racial slurs. Many proponents of bans on so-called hate speech want the use of the n-word to be banned. But what about when it’s said by a professor while he’s reading verbatim from a James Baldwin essay?

These are just a couple of the legions of edge cases that would have to be adjudicated by any law that purports to punish hate speech.

And in the absence of clear-cut rules about what speech is and isn’t allowed, citizens can find themselves fined and even thrown in jail over vague and nebulous laws that are enforced ad hoc by judges. What one judge decides is legal today might cross the line into “hate speech” tomorrow.

If we want to fight the spread of disinformation and hate speech, there’s a much more effective way than nebulous laws that set out to punish online speech: counterspeech. The idea behind counterspeech is that extremist views and conspiracy theories are riddled with errors and faulty logic, and as such are ripe for debunking. Arguing against hateful ideas is a powerful way to dissuade people from adopting them and so limit their reach. A report from the United Nations puts it well: “As the key means to counter hate speech, the United Nations supports more speech – not less – and holds the full respect of freedom of expression as the norm.”

As a free society, we can also practice prebunking: that is, pre-emptively pointing out the arguments against a certain hateful idea, so that when people encounter said idea in the wild, they are less likely to fall for it. As counterterrorism expert Elizabeth Neumann argues in ‘Kingdom of Rage‘, prebunking is a powerful way to combat political extremism.

One of the more promising findings in recent years is that we can build immunity to conspiracy theories and extremist ideologies much like we vaccinate against disease. While we cannot argue someone out of their ideology once they are radicalised, if we introduce a person to the manipulation techniques used and small amounts of the ideology framed in a negative way, it reduces the likelihood they will support the extremist ideology if they are ever exposed to it “in the wild” in the future.

Some folks see the abuses of laws against so-called hate speech, but still support these laws on the grounds that we have to do something to combat hate speech and political extremism. But the truth is, there’s no trade-off between supporting free speech and combating hate speech.

The more we empower citizens to speak freely and to point out the flaws in hateful ideologies, the less power those ideologies have.

The French government has been forced to disband as millions of citizens reject the WEF agenda in France and take back control of their country.

On Wednesday 4th December, French PM Barnier lost a no-confidence vote (with 331 votes – 288 was needed) forcing his government’s resignation and Macron to urgently appoint a new premier.

Infowars.com reports: The debate before the vote was lively with RN’s Le Pen blasting Barnier’s budget and making it clear he was dead in the water.

“It’s the end of this ephemeral government,” Le Pen declares.

Much of her comments are focused on taxes in Barnier’s budget, saying it was “all about taxes, taxes and more taxes.”

“Where’s all the money? The French want to know,” she said.

“To those who think I’m intent on choosing a policy of disaster through a vote of no confidence, I want to tell them that the disastrous policy would be not to censure such a budget, such a government,” Le Pen says.

Boris Vallaud, the head of the Socialists in parliament called Barnier’s budget “unjust and inefficient” and confirmed he would vote against Barnier.

France unbowed’s Coquerel slammed the government for not making enough compromises on the budget and confirms his party is supporting the no-confidence motion put forth by the leftist coalition.

The prime minister notes that the same issues will confront the next government if his is toppled, saying he would have “liked to have distributed money even though there isn’t any.”

“This won’t disappear with the magic of a no-confidence motion.”

What happens next?

• First, Barnier would tender the resignation of the government; his outgoing cabinet would remain in place with limited powers to manage current affairs.
• This caretaker administration continues until Macron appoints a new premier. There is no constitutional time limit for this decision — and it took Macron nearly two months to select Barnier.
• During the interregnum, the government would likely rely on untested emergency legislation to collect taxes and deliver vital spending.
• Once named, a new prime minister would propose a cabinet to be appointed by the president, and that new government would present a 2025 budget to parliament

Macron has a history of finding unexpected people to be prime minister – and of changing his mind at last minute.

Here are some names circulating in Paris that could become the next premier:

• Bernard Cazeneuve, 61: Former French prime minister and interior minister under Socialist President Francois Hollande. Already considered as a possible PM this summer, picking him could help Macron fracture the left-wing bloc by capitalizing on Cazeneuve’s ties to his former party.
• Sébastien Lecornu, 38: A skilled politician who in 2022 became the youngest defense minister since the French Revolution. He’s a Macron loyalist who’s originally from the center-right Republicans party.
• François Bayrou, 73: The veteran centrist leads the MoDem party, a key ally for Macron in parliament. Currently the high commissioner for government planning, Bayrou supports proportional representation in parliamentary elections, which has also been a request of the National Rally.
• Jean Castex, 59: A former prime minister under Macron known for his southern French accent and management skills. He is currently the head of the RATP, the state-owned company that operates the Paris metro.

On whether Macron should remain in office, Le Pen said that “it’s up to his conscience to decide whether he can sacrifice public action and the fate of France to his own pride.” She added:

“If he decides to stay, he will be forced to acknowledge that he is the President of a Republic that is no longer entirely at peace with itself.”

He can serve out his full term until 2027 and said only yesterday that this is exactly what he plans to do.

“I’ve been elected twice by the French people, and I’m extremely proud of that,” Macron said during a trip to Saudi Arabia.

“I’ll honor that trust with all my energy, right up to the last second.”

The euro was at the highs of the day ahead of the vote (which makes all the sense in the world to someone), but dropped on the inevitable result…

Spreads were near the lows of the day ahead of the vote, but started to creep higher as the debate neared the end. The bond markets closed before the vote…

Aberdeen Investments’ Alex Everett suggests that French 10-year yields would likely move toward 100 basis points over Germany, notably above current levels, citing “continued malaise, a dearth of decision making and insufficient progress toward debt sustainability.”
