According to a report from Federal News Network, the U.S. Army has implemented a significant change to its voluntary retirement policy, aiming to improve predictability in personnel management and better support soldiers as they transition to civilian life.

Effective immediately, soldiers may now submit voluntary retirement requests between 12 and 24 months before their desired retirement date. This replaces previous timelines and applies across the Regular Army, Army National Guard, and U.S. Army Reserve.

Army officials emphasize that the adjustment will help the service more accurately forecast losses, align personnel movements with Human Resources Command cycles, and provide enhanced transition support.

“This directive modifies the retirement request timeline for Soldiers. The provisions of this directive will enhance the accuracy of forecasting unanticipated losses, synchronize personnel movement cycles… and provide greater support to Soldiers transitioning out of military service,” the Army Directive 2026-08 states.

Soldiers must have at least 18 years of active federal service and be able to meet all obligations by the retirement date. However, those under consideration for new assignments or who have received permanent change-of-station orders are barred from submitting requests, with limited exceptions for those nearing 19 years of service who may request retirement in lieu of a move.

For senior ranks—including lieutenant colonels, colonels, chief warrant officers 4 and 5, and master sergeants through command sergeants major—commanders must provide detailed career assessments, develop utilization plans, and ensure soldiers remain fully mission-capable during the extended window. Approval does not exempt soldiers from duties, deployability, or standards.

The policy, signed by Army Secretary Dan Driscoll, formalizes and makes permanent adjustments previously tested on a pilot basis. It is expected to give the Army greater stability in managing its force while offering soldiers and their families more predictability during one of the most significant career transitions.

The 3-letter agencies will not hesitate to use assassination at home or abroad against anti-war politicians who buck the system, which was designed to empower the military-industrial complex.

In my last two posts, I communicated some things that concern me greatly about Donald Trump. But in today’s post, in the interest of balance, I will point out one thing that I like about Trump.

Let’s first summarize Trump’s demonstrated weaknesses and then I’ll share what I think is his biggest strength. You are free to agree or disagree in the comments below the article.

In my first article, I pointed out how Trump is shaky on the Second Amendment and this is only one example of how he seems willing to compromise on major issues of importance to true conservatives.

He’s also compromised on the issue of life. Trump has basically, with nary a wimper from pro-lifers, transformed the Republican Party from a pro-life party into a pro-abortion party. Trump says it should be OK to kill a baby in the womb up to 14 or 15 weeks gestation. That’s nearly the entire first trimester of pregnancy in which a baby’s life is now free to take without the mother having a conscience about it, if we go by the Trump doctrine on life. This is basically where Democrats were on this issue in the 1970s and 80s but it sounds conservative now when Democrats are saying babies can and should be aborted during all nine months of pregnancy, if that’s what the mother wants. But just because you want to set a limit on when you can still abort a child is in no way, shape or form a pro-life position and it’s time we pro-lifers admit that we are simply choosing the lesser of two evils.

In my second article, I showed how Trump has a terrible sense of judgment in picking people for important jobs, like his choice for vice president and his choices for the Supreme Court and various cabinet-level advisory roles. Of his three nominees to the Supreme Court, for example, two of them are not very conservative at all. His vice presidential pick, JD Vance, shows Trump has zero understanding of technocracy, something that was obvious during his first term and the Vance pick shows he’s still clueless in this important area that the globalists exploit for greater control of we the people.

But now that I’ve gotten that off my chest of Trump’s faults, I’d like to point out his major strength. He is not a neocon. As such, Trump’s first inclination is always to avoid getting us into wars. This is good. Very good. I wish more politicians in both parties were anti-war. Being anti-war does not mean you are pacifist. Far from it. I believe Trump evaluates geopolitical situations with the mindset of what is in America’s national interest. Not, how can we further the interests of empire and the military-industrial complex, as so many politicians do.

Because Trump has a healthy revulsion for war, he will always be hated and vilified by the Washington deep state, which is a Uniparty that controls everything. This Uniparty controls all federal agencies, most federal courts, the mainstream corporate media, the major social media platforms, the military, law enforcement, and the education and medical establishment in this country. All of this is controlled by blood-thirsty globalists. Going against these forces ensure that you will encounter horrific blowback, and Trump has certainly encountered his share of that, right up to and including an assassination attempt.

Anti-war politicians in other Western countries have encountered the same level of blowback, including Prime Minister Robert Fico of Slovakia and Prime Minister Viktor Orban of Hungary. Notice there are no assassins or prosecutors going after Trudeau, Macron, Scholz, Biden, and the rest of the globalist Western puppet leaders.

Below is an excellent article by one of my favorite authors, Martin Armstrong, on the vile nature of the neocons going back to the days of Kennedy and Reagan and how they still dominate Washington today. Kennedy and Reagan were both shot because they did not kowtow to the globalist neocons. Like Trump, they had their flaws, but on the issue of foreign policy, they bucked the system.

I can tell you that when Reagan was elected, the Republicans were beside themselves. When I asked: What’s the problem? They said: “You don’t understand!” They explained that they would have to “train” him because he was a “governor” and not one of them from the swamp. The Neocons tried their best to prevent Reagan from even meeting with Gorbachev. They told him “you can never trust a Russian!”

Had Reagan listened to the Neocons, the Berlin Wall would never have fallen. The Neocons simply converted their hatred of communists into hatred of all Russians.

When I went to dinner at Mar-a-Lago in March 2020, Trump said he wanted to pull the troops out of Afghanistan because he was tired of writing letters to their families claiming that their child died for God and country. As I said, he asked what we were doing there. I got to see that Trump was human and was concerned for the soldiers who were dying only because of the Neocons, like John Bolton. Bolton constantly wanted to convert the United States into an imperial power that dominated the entire world with his endless wars. This is why Russia and China see us as a vile “imperialistic” world power assassinating leaders and overthrowing governments – regime change. These UNELECTED Neocons abuse the power of the United States and turn the world against us.

Let’s make this very clear about Bolton. John Bolton was a fervent supporter of the Vietnam War, yet he managed to avoid combat through a student deferment followed by enlistment in the Maryland Air National Guard. He is always willing to send American boys to their deaths but sought a deferment for himself. Bolton openly supported the United States’ interference in other countries under his philosophy that, somehow, we have the right to carry out regime changes worldwide. That is precisely what got JFK assassinated by the CIA because they were engaging in regime change, assassinating leaders, and he wanted to terminate the CIA. Just look at Project Northwoods, where they tried to kill Americans and blame it on Cuba to justify an invasion. These Neocons are a threat to the United States and will sacrifice your children as well as you to win this game of power.

Questions remain about Nixon and Watergate despite four decades of literature from historians, journalists, academics, and politicians. Who ordered the break-in at the DNC headquarters on June 17, 1972? What was erased from the infamous 18 ½ minute gap? How much did Nixon know about the cover-up? But more importantly, what most people do not know is that Nixon, who had confronted the CIA and told the director “I know who killed JFK” when he left office, Nixon REFUSED to accept Secret Service protection and hired his own security out of his own pocket. Interesting. Perhaps Nixon knew far more than the government ever allowed to be said in public.

The announcement that RT’s UK bank accounts will be frozen is part of a coordinated EU policy aimed against Russian-linked organizations, John Laughland, Director of Studies at the Institute of Democracy and Cooperation in Paris, told RT.

Laughland noted that the British government took over the Royal Bank of Scotland Group in 2008, at the time of the financial crisis, and still owns approximately 75 percent of its shares. He believes Monday’s disturbing announcement to be “politically inspired.”

“My suspicion is that it’s part of a coordinated and Europe-wide policy of harassment against organizations of that are associated with Russia,” Laughland told RT from Paris. “We must understand this policy of harassment and hostility within the context of the decision taken about six months ago at a European Union summit, at which it was decided on the EU-level to combat ‘Russian propaganda and disinformation,'” as it’s being called.

The EU has even established a special unit specifically designed to combat so-called “Russian disinformation and, particularly RT, which more than any other news outlet has irritated people in the West because it has a very muscular editorial policy,” he explained.

Laughland reiterated the “real political motives” behind this latest move, mentioning  Boris Johnson, the new [UK] Foreign Secretary, who told a recent Tory Party conference that, although Britain was leaving the EU, it “wouldn’t abandon being in the forefront of sanctions against Russia.”

Laughland said Johnson implied that “Britain would increase its call for sanctions against Russia while in the process of leaving the EU.”

Meanwhile, George Galloway, British politician and host of RT’s ‘Sputnik,’ said the announcement by the Bank of Scotland “is shocking but not surprising.”

“It comes at a time when it has been obvious in parliament and in the deep state that there is a state of anxiety about the growing influence and popularity of RT in the country”, he said.

According to Galloway, part of the explanation comes from the fact that the BBC is losing influence and credibility.

The announcement to freeze RT’s accounts “coincides with a simultaneous fall in credibility of the British state broadcaster, the BBC (…), he said.

“Fewer and fewer people are watching [the BBC] and less and less (…) are paying very much attention to what it says. It is just crude British state propaganda.

“They have been nervous about RT for some time,” he added.

Galloway expressed no doubt as to who was behind the decision.

“This bank is owned by the British government. This is a decision taken by the British government. It flows from the discussions of the last few weeks about intensifying sanctions against Russia and Syria.”

But the charismatic British politician was optimistic that not much would come of this latest move against RT.

“The good news is, this is the 16th year of the 21st century, and no one – and certainly not Boris Johnson – can stop the British people getting access to RT, and they will in increasing numbers.”

The British establishment does not “particularly like differences in opinion,” David Coburn, a member of the European Parliament from the UK Independence Party (UKIP), told RT, commenting on NatWest Bank’s decision to close RT’s accounts, which he called “ridiculous.”

The politician stressed that RT “adds” to the “diversity in the media” and “gives a different perspective,” adding that it would be wrong to stop allowing people to express different points of view. He also said that, after leaving the EU, the UK should build relationships with Russia, particularly in terms of business.

“All RT is doing is asking… questions. We want to hear other people’s points of view. And it is wrong to stop that. One has to ask questions, what is the meaning of this?”Coburn told RT.

Meanwhile, John Pilger, an author and documentary filmmaker, told RT that political interference is “the only explanation” of NatWest’s decision. The bank is being “used and really abused by the British government, acting on behalf of Washington,” Pilger told RT.

He added that this move is also a “signal,” indicating that the British establishment “will not tolerate any dissent.” He also dismissed accusations concerning RT’s affiliation with the Russian government. “If RT is Kremlin-backed, then how do you describe the BBC?” the author said, adding that the BBC was condemned in 2003 “for presenting Blair government news.”

He also said that RT “is presenting an alternative view, and you are meant to have an alternative view in free societies.”

“The kind of censorship we have in the west now becomes [almost] equal to” that of the Soviet Union in times of the Cold War, Pilger told RT, adding that it is “intolerable.”

He also complained that modern British media became “unwatchable” and the UK’s “media society is dominated by [Rupert] Murdoch’s [News Corporation] view and the BBC-[promoted] state view,” adding that there are only few exceptions and almost “no real investigative journalism.”

“It is a disgrace for a country with fine and rich tradition of free journalism,” Pilger said, calling on all “real journalists” to “wake up” and “speak now.”
