Klaus Schwab may have been ousted from active leadership of the World Economic Forum, but that hasn’t stopped him from flitting around the world spreading his dystopian ideology.

At the end of May, he made an appearance in South Africa to have “a conversation” about his latest book ‘Universities, Professors and Students in the Intelligent Age’ in front of an audience of academics, students, policymakers and business leaders.

As Tim Hinchcliffe explains below, according to Schwab, the “intelligent age” means replacing our cognitive capabilities with AI.

The intelligent age is replacing our cognitive capabilities with AI, and universities should prioritise teaching students how to capably use technology over teaching actual knowledge, according to World Economic Forum (“WEF”) founder Klaus Schwab.

Livestreaming today [29 May] at the University of Johannesburg in South Africa, Schwab spoke at length about what he calls ‘the intelligent age” and what it means for jobs, students and humanity.

Comparing previous industrial revolutions to the so-called intelligent age, the grand architect of the Great Reset agenda said that our thinking abilities were now being delegated to artificial intelligence.

“Let’s go back to the Industrial Age; what does the Industrial Age do? It replaced our physical activities by the machine,” said Schwab

“What is the Intelligent Age doing? It is replacing our cognitive capabilities by algorithm, or by what we call our artificial intelligence.”

“In order to master this new intelligent age, we have to remind ourselves much more what really creates a human being. What makes us human?” he added.

According to Schwab, the winners in this brave new world. where intelligence is delegated to algorithms. will be those who are able to adapt.

However, we shall see that adaptability, or as the German-native Schwab calls it “adaptility [sic],” will mean having enough money to be able to afford access to AI knowledge bases and know how to use them to their advantage.

“If you want to succeed in the intelligent age, the keyword is adaptability, but combined with adaptability is also resilience,” said Schwab.

“The world is changing so fast today, and the world has become so interdisciplinary, so complex, that people don’t really understand anymore what’s going on.”

“We feel we are not anymore in control of what’s happening […] I think we have to accept that we are living in a very fluid, in a very fast, exponentially changing world and that we may be not anymore completely in control of ourselves, but we have to learn to adapt very much to this changing world,” the WEF founder added.

Without knowing what is going on in the world – what is real, what is true, what is genuine, what is fake – and the overwhelming amount of information at our fingertips, Schwab said that the way to get to “the truth” was through large language models (“LLMs”) like Claude or ChatGPT.

Notice how Schwab says, “if I make the necessary efforts?” Why is that? It’s because these AI tools scrape the internet and push forward the top-ranking results.

Top ranking doesn’t always correlate with truth. The necessary efforts, therefore, are related to human research.

You can’t trust an LLM to bring you the truth because it will spit back whatever some spook had ghost-edited in Wikipedia, or what was allowed by censors at Reddit, or what information wasn’t permitted by the gatekeepers at Google and their unelected globalist partners at the United Nations (“UN”).

Nevertheless, Schwab puts his faith in AI and the big tech companies for providing all the knowledge we need.

In this scenario, universities are outdated, and according to the WEF founder, higher education should focus more on learning how to use new technologies rather than teaching actual knowledge.

“Should you invest four years to learn something, which you can read on your iPad in real-time whenever you need it, instead of being loaded with knowledge of maybe 90 per cent you don’t need in your professional activities?“

So, instead of striving for the pursuit of knowledge, all you have to do is call on big tech, and they’ll give you the correct answers for free?

Not if OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has anything to say about that!

In March, Altman declared that after bypassing all copyright and intellectual property infringements by scraping the entire collective knowledge of humankind from the internet, he wants to sell it back to us on a meter.

If intelligence were to become a utility billed on a meter, then the intelligent age would only benefit those who could afford it.  Everything Schwab said would be reserved for the elite. The poor would continue to be not just poor, but also dumb. And it all starts with education.

According to Schwab, we should give up our pursuit of knowledge. We should instead focus on our “capabilities.”

And what types of capabilities are those?

The capabilities to interact with a chatbot, and you should go back to university every year to get your updated certificate as if it were a subscription to be beholden to AI and big tech for life.

Schwab calls this a transition from “learning for life to lifelong learning.”

With only the elite having access to intelligence on a meter and lifelong learning, Schwab acknowledged that the WEF has long been criticised for being elitist.

However, he never actually denied being an elitist.

Instead, he doubled down on the notion that “we are part of global community,” which flies in the face of sovereign nations and of different cultural values that are not shared by a “global community.”

Speaking of the WEF, Schwab said he created it in 1971 as a means to reject Nobel Prize laureate and economist Milton Friedman, who said that the business of businesses was business.

Schwab said “NO” to that and came up with what he called stakeholdership to rival shareholdership, and that the entire focus of the WEF was to be a platform to promote stakeholder capitalism.

“I was fascinated by Milton Friedman […] and he had written an editorial in The New York Times saying, ‘The business of business is business and everything that is social you leave to the government and that they should regulate it.’I came to the conclusion, ‘No! A company is not just an economic unit; it’s part of society […]’

Stakeholder capitalism is only possible through public-private partnerships – the fusion of corporation and state. The stakeholders are governments, corporations and civil society – the latter being academics and non-governmental organisations (“NGOs”) and unelected globalist think tanks.

It’s ruled by the so-called expert and technocrat classes that bribe the State into giving them more power and influence, while the State delegates what it can’t do legally to the experts and technocrats.

The human mind has a long history of innovative achievements.  But its potential is being neglected in the age of technology, with luxury beliefs and AI being forced upon society by elites.

Our brains have abilities that are more powerful than any supercomputer or AI program, Dr. Hatchard explains.  However, his solution is as dangerous to the human mind as is AI.

Dr. Hatchard suggests Transcendental Meditation (“TM”) is the solution, even going as far as suggesting it be introduced into New Zealand’s schools.  But TM is a Hindu religious practise which centres around specific, personalised chants given by a Yogi. 

Although chants are not inherently indoctrination, they can easily be used by cult leaders, authoritarian governments and other nefarious actors to brainwash people.

For humans to flourish, rather than Dr. Hatchard’s suggestion of seeking a higher level of consciousness, we need people to think for themselves and teach their children to do the same.

The Strange World of Luxury Beliefs, Artificial Intelligence and the NZ Economy

The human mind is truly amazing. Its history of innovative achievement stretches back far further in time than we imagined. The colossal and intricate megalithic structures excavated at Göbeklitepe in Turkey, and associated sites covering an entire region, were built 12,000 years ago, predating the earliest imagined beginning of complex social cooperation and agriculture. A 59,000-year-old neanderthal tooth found in a Siberian cave shows evidence of dentistry. 400,000-year-old fire pits found in Suffolk, UK, predate the supposed emergence of modern humans from Africa. Genetic research on ancient human remains has found that the human genes thought to be most associated with the development of speech and tool use are at least 1 million years old and probably more than 5 million years old.

Throughout this long history, cultural ideas, social patterns and spiritual practices have been honoured, which we should be anxious to protect as we rush headlong into the age of technology. Last week, Jack Clark, co-founder of the artificial intelligence (“AI”) giant Anthropic, told a gathering at Oxford University, “He wanted to encourage humanity to prepare for a technology that would soon be more capable than all of us collectively.”We politely disagree. In this article, we take a deep dive and explain how we should be doing more to nourish and develop our greatest resource – our consciousness. 

Sadly, modern times abound with those who like to scoff at tradition and spiritual wisdom. “Luxury beliefs” are toxic ideas that some leading elites are trying to force upon us, when they themselves are so rich that they are insulated from any consequences of what they urge us to believe. The term has been coined by Rob Henderson, working at Yale University, who has defined them as ideas and opinions that confer status and cede control to the leading classes but often inflict real costs on the mass of those less privileged. For example, the idea that we should all be living in little boxes crowded together in cities when those developing them live in country mansions. An idea that makes little sense in beautiful New Zealand (“NZ”) with an abundance of space and opportunity, but one that seems to have been embraced by those planning our future.

I had a little chuckle yesterday when I read an article in The Washington Post entitled ‘The next Darwin moment has arrived’. The author, John MacCormick, who is a professor of computer science educated at the Universities of Auckland, Cambridge and Oxford, echoes many of the absurd claims of the leading billionaire gurus of AI who are dreaming that computer programs can now emulate the entire range of human thought, including creativity and intuition. 

I laughed not just because Google AI once again failed to correctly tell me when the next full moon occurs, but because of the blinkered nature of a statement in the article:

“Life itself was once thought to have a unique quality that distinguishes it from inanimate matter. This theory, known as vitalism, died out in the early 20th century and today has no scientific credibility: Modern biochemistry has revealed that all life can be explained in terms of physics and chemistry.”

Actually, I am afraid that AI might lead us to neglect our brains, thus draining the last drop of vitality out of life. Moreover, contrary to MacCormick’s claim, no biotechnologist, physicist or chemist working today knows exactly or even roughly how our DNA supports the expression of human consciousness. 

At this point, the rapid rollout of AI seems inevitable; it is already happening. So, what can we do to counter machines that seem set to control our lives? There is a lot of talk about protecting children from the effects of AI-driven social media. The UK Telegraph reports the terrifying rise of schoolboys as young as 12 making AI girlfriends that are driven by chatbots. You can ask just how they will view girls as they grow up? We can also ask, is it just possible that adults need protecting too? The sad truth is that computers are so pervasive and easily adapted, while people themselves are of so many opinions that no legislation has a chance of working. 

The answer lies in the full development of our human potential. In our recent Substack articles ‘The Sacred Cell and Conscious Genes’ and ‘The Structure of Consciousness’, we explain how our nervous system supports the expression of a connected, self-referral property which lies at the heart of the universe. Through the exploration of our consciousness, we can tap into the cosmic power that drives the process of evolution. We have latent abilities that are not yet developed, just waiting to be unfolded. Meditation can unfold a super coherence that is evident in EEG brain wave measurements , which suggest an increasing harmony with coherent quantum states that characterise the laws of nature. Meditation can harness these laws to support our life. The measured result is more intelligence, creativity and well-being. In other words, the brain has abilities that are more powerful than any imagined supercomputer or AI programme, because it can interface directly with the natural law that governs the universe.

The human brain is a remarkable organ; its trillion cells support the expression of human consciousness. These cells have more interconnections than there are atoms in the universe, yet it is all contained within a space roughly the size of a litre of milk. In contrast, to begin to mimic some of the most basic thinking properties of humans, even one modern AI data processing centre covers the size of 3,800 football pitches. These processing centres are so energy hungry that they are pushing the price of electricity up all over the world, and they run so hot that they need millions of gallons of water every day for cooling. This is depleting the planet’s supply and competing with basic human needs.

This week, following similar closures around the country, two sawmills are threatened with closure in Kaitaia, largely because of the rising cost of power. Both our NZ electricity producers and the saw mills themselves are owned by overseas interests, which gives the lie to the luxury belief that free trade and the global economy are always going to benefit NZ. Fiscal projections calculated at overseas computer terminals are dictating closure and the loss of Kaitaia’s employment lifeline because AI doesn’t have a Kiwi soul. Essential NZ infrastructure needs to be owned by Kiwis; overseas interests don’t care about us and probably never will.

Whilst AI can carry out some repetitive calculations and investigate complex permutations, which might be a good thing, it is also replacing rewarding creative professions, including graphic designers, animators, video producers, fashion photographers and many other skilled jobs. Too many of the new jobs being created by AI will increasingly revolve around maintaining data centres. These are filled with endless banks of computer machines that, as they grow older, will need a lot of technicians to keep them “alive” through painstaking and crushingly boring repetitive repair work. In this way, AI is not all roses; it threatens to turn humans into slaves of machines.

Contrast this with the human brain, each of its trillion cells is automatically repairing itself tens of thousands of times a day without the need of a technician, just three meals a day is sufficient. Each day, our consciousness naturally cycles through rhythms of waking, dreaming and sleeping without which it would fall apart. Unknown to John MacCormick, science has verified the existence of a fourth major state of consciousness – transcendence – which has long been recognised by many cultural and spiritual traditions around the world. This is an expanded state of consciousness, in which the mind is completely awake but silent, like an arrow drawn back on a bow full of potential but unmoving, about to zoom forth. In this cosmic ground state of consciousness, the essential truth of life is realised and future boundless achievement unfolds. 

Transcendental Meditation (“TM”) is a silent, mantra-based meditation technique developed in the 1950s by Indian Hindu teacher Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. 

In 1972, the Maharishi announced his “world plan” for a new human future, which became the foundation for the World Plan Executive Council, the international organisation that guided the spread of Transcendental Meditation worldwide. He also founded Maharishi International University (now Maharishi University of Management) in Iowa and other campuses globally, established the transnational political party called the Natural Law Party in the 1990s and created the Global Country of World Peace in 2000, a world government organisation that aims to promote transcendental meditation, education, and the construction of “buildings for peace” in the world’s major cities.

Claims that TM is not a religion are debatable.  It is rooted in Hindu traditions (specifically Advaita Vedanta) and uses Sanskrit mantras.  Critics, including some Christian organisations and legal scholars, argue it is a form of Hindu meditation disguised with scientific language.  “The similarities between the practice of transcendental meditation and the practice of religious prayer rituals cannot be denied,” Got Questions points out.  And Apologetics Index says, “For many, nearly everything about TM seems religious – especially devotees’ gathering daily in a sacred place before a portrait of a leader addressed as ‘his holiness’.”

TM is practised for 15–20 minutes twice daily while sitting comfortably with eyes closed.  It is taught exclusively by certified teachers through a standardised course, during which students receive a specific mantra – a sound or word without meaning – chosen for them.

Although chanting is not inherently brainwashing, it can be misused as a tool for mind control and indoctrination in specific high-demand groups, cults or authoritarian contexts. 

“Repetitive chanting may make some people more ready and willing to adopt suggestions from others, especially when there is psychological stress or emotional buildup,” Skeptic Meditations warned in its article ‘Chanting: Brainwash, Indoctrination and Groupthink?’. 

In an article published on LinkedIn titled ‘Brainwashing and Dark Psychology’, Indian data scientist Tejas Malpani noted that chanting a similar statement over and over again is a good way of controlling a person and obtaining blind obedience.

List Verse noted that “in cults the persistent repetition of short intonations is designed to become mind-numbing, eliminating logical thinking and inducing a trance state … hypnosis through chanting is a tool used by cult leaders to erode critical thinking abilities rather than for meditative purposes.”

Colleen Russell, a survivor of what she calls a “high demand group,” said that the group leader used chanting to relax the mind and focus the group’s energy. “But it was misused, as I now realise, because the focus during chanting was on the image of the cult leader … We were instructed to chant if we felt upset, for instance. The same if we were having a hard time.” This led to an inability to critically think through problems, a core life skill, as well as an inability to process and sift through emotions. It also created a sense of euphoria when thinking of their leader, positioning him as the answer to all of their problems.

In summary, repetitive chanting can induce a trance-like state or altered consciousness, which lowers critical thinking and increases suggestibility.  This makes people more receptive to new ideas or doctrines without rational analysis.  Additionally, chanting creates a strong sense of oneness and group identity.  In negative contexts, this can lead to groupthink. And the practice of chanting releases neurochemicals like endorphins and oxytocin, creating feelings of euphoria and bonding.  Manipulative leaders can exploit this by associating these positive feelings with the leader or ideology, fostering dependency and loyalty.

Be careful what you chant.  Protect your mind as well as your body.

We are suggesting that our education system add this fourth state of consciousness to the daily routine, which can be achieved through a short period of meditation. Studies show the results can be outstanding, including increased academic achievement and improved well-being.

Note from The Exposé: The “fourth state” Dr. Hatchard refers to is the fourth of the seven levels of consciousness identified by the Maharishi.  His suggestion that this be exploited in schools is dangerous.  On the other hand, governments and Globalists would love Dr. Hatchard’s idea; it will give them and others following cult-like ideology carte blanche, without oversight, to indoctrinate, and even brainwash, children from a very young age through the education system.

The luxury belief that AI is the new Darwin is drawing the wool over our eyes. Sadly, AI is stuck with the process of data mining of stored information. Given the ever-evolving nature of the universe, this can amount to leafing through yesterday’s trash of failed ideas. Contrast the burgeoning, destructive military applications of AI systems with the tireless work of Gandhi or Mandela, who peacefully brought freedom to their nations, or the deep compassion for all creation exhibited by St Francis of Assisi. No computer could replace their timeless wisdom.

So don’t give up on your brain, it is our best friend and most powerful computer, the fountainhead of joy and accomplishment and, crucially, it has a vast reserve of untapped potential. An article in the UK Times headlines ‘Universities ‘are surrendering’ in the fight against AI cheating’. It reports that universities are giving up and waving the white flag – students can now write an essay without reading a book and get an A grade.  So, is AI preparing a generation to swallow an illusion of knowledge? The UK Telegraph echoes this fear with an article demanding an AI “kill switch” to defend against “catastrophe.” It imagines a time when AI takes over and makes a terrible mistake. Don’t be fooled, if an AI kill switch is needed, it will already be too late. The first real crisis that today’s graduates face will sink them as they search in vain for the right button to press. We need to start developing the amazing resource we already have – our own unbounded consciousness.

According to a report from the New York Post, a disturbing new dimension has emerged in the ongoing monitoring of the rare and deadly Andes strain of hantavirus, which recently caused an outbreak aboard a luxury cruise ship.

A peer-reviewed study has revealed that the virus can linger in male semen long after the body has cleared it from blood, urine, and the respiratory tract, potentially allowing sexual transmission even years after recovery.

Researchers at Switzerland’s Spiez Laboratory examined a 55-year-old man infected with the Andes strain six years earlier. The virus had vanished from his bloodstream and other typical sites, yet it remained detectable in his semen. The team concluded it could stay transmissible for up to 71 months—nearly six years—after initial infection.

“Taken together, our results show that the Andes virus has the potential for sexual transmission,” the study authors stated, while noting that no confirmed cases of sexually transmitted Andes hantavirus have been documented to date.

The findings, published in the journal Viruses, highlight how the testes serve as a “safe harbor” for certain pathogens. Because sperm cells are protected from immune attack to enable reproduction, viruses like hantavirus, Ebola, and Zika can persist undetected. Factors such as initial viral load and the pathogen’s ability to replicate in reproductive tissues influence this persistence.

This revelation comes amid heightened global attention to the Andes hantavirus following its outbreak on the MV Hondius cruise ship in early May.

The primarily rodent-borne virus, capable of rare person-to-person spread, has so far claimed three lives—a Dutch couple and a German national—linked to the vessel. Health authorities expect additional cases from the cluster but emphasize it does not pose a pandemic risk comparable to COVID-19.

Experts, including those at disease forecasting firm Airfinity, urge male survivors to adopt precautions modeled on WHO guidance for Ebola survivors. This includes regular semen testing, consistent condom use, or abstinence until cleared by two consecutive negative tests, along with thorough hygiene practices after any contact with semen.

The Smart Dust project was funded by DARPA for military applications — specifically for rapid deployment of defense sensor networks onto the battlefield. Battlefield sensing is inherently about detecting people who don’t know they’re being detected. The invisibility and undetectability are deliberate design priorities.

This technology appeared in the public with US Patent 11,354,666 B1, “Smart Dust Usage”, which was filed on May 26, 2016, and granted on June 7, 2022. It is assigned to Wells Fargo Bank and describes a system for authenticating a user making a payment using “smart dust.”

Smart Dust is technically known as MEMS, microelectromechanical systems, and is comprised of what are called motes. A mote is a single, self-contained micro-sensor node. Each mote measures one cubic millimeter or less, and is roughly the size of a grain of sand. These ‘motes’ are released as clouds, with thousands of sensor nodes simultaneously sampling the target from multiple angles and positions.

The Biometric data being collected includes: location, facial and body recognition, heart rate, blood pressure, body temperature, breath rate, voice recognition, and fingerprint scanning. The system is designed to create a unique cryptographic signature for every individual based on biological and behavioral data, and is designed to operate without being noticed.

The patent describes the motes as a “cloud” around the user, but UC Berkeley researchers have successfully implanted smart dust sensors into rats in order to monitor and control nerve and muscle activity. This technology requires no batteries and relies on ultrasound to draw power. Scientists claim that for humans, internal smart dust devices could monitor vital signs, and could enable control over prosthetics and robotic limbs.

In March 2022, the University of Washington’s “Dandelion” breakthrough, partially funded by the U.S. Air Force, deployed tiny battery-free wireless sensors by wind, inspired by dandelion seeds. The senior author stated that: “Our prototype suggests that you could use a drone to release thousands of these devices in a single drop.”

In 2024, a large blanket of fog affected the United Kingdom, the USA and Canada. Over 20,000 travelers in the UK and 3.8 million drivers in the USA were impacted. People described it as “a thick blanket of fog” with a “particle-like” appearance, which had an odd “chemical, electrical, or burning” smell to it. And many people claimed to experience fever, coughing, sore throat, headache, and fatigue after exposure. The fog hit during the Christmas and New Year travel period, when millions were moving around for the holidays.

A second patent, US 11,748,578 B1 “Predictive Text System”, was filed in November 2021, and granted on September 2023, to Wells Fargo Bank. This patent describes a system that uses neural networks and machine learning to analyze and predict your financial thoughts and intentions in real-time as you type. Combined with the biometric data from smart dust, this creates a system that can monitor both what you’re physically doing and what you’re thinking about financially. A predictive behavioral surveillance system designed to be always-on and continuously learning. This is the exact infrastructure needed for implementing a social credit system.

The smart dust market was valued at 153.9 million dollars in 2024 and is estimated to grow at a compound annual growth rate of over 14.3% from 2025 to 2034. Industrial use has increased significantly in 2023 and 2024, with integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms now allowing smart dust devices to analyze data locally and make autonomous decisions. This technology is currently moving from laboratories to public deployment — which has naturally caused concern. In the 1950s and 60s, the U.S. Army conducted open-air biological and chemical tests over American cities without public knowledge or consent.

A chilling new report is raising fresh alarm over how far elite-backed science may be willing to go, revealing that some researchers are openly discussing the possibility of growing “brainless” human body clones for future use by wealthy individuals who are aging or dying.

The idea sounds like dystopian fiction.

However, according to a new investigation, a billionaire-backed startup has been tied to discussions about creating non-sentient replacement bodies, human clones without functioning brains, that could one day serve as vessels for brain transplants.

Billionaire-Backed Startup Tied to ‘Brainless Clone’ Discussions

The startup, R3 Bio, recently surfaced in reporting as it sought funding to develop what it described as non-sentient monkey “organ sacks.”

The structures that would reportedly contain all major organs except the brain.

As first reported by Wired, the concept was presented as an alternative to animal testing and a possible future source of transplantable organs and tissues.

But a follow-up investigation by MIT Technology Review reported that the company’s founders had privately discussed a far more disturbing long-term goal.

They are pushing to create full human bodies without brains so wealthy elites could potentially transfer their brains into them should they die or become sick.

According to the report, one reason for excluding the brain would be to avoid some of the ethical and legal objections that would come with creating a sentient cloned human.

Company Denies Plot While Leaving Door Open

After the reporting drew attention, the company pushed back on the claims.

R3 Bio said its founder “never made any statement regarding hypothetical ‘non-sentient human clones’ [that] would be carried by surrogates.”

The company said that “any allegations of intent or conspiracy to create human clones or humans with brain damage are categorically false.”

At the same time, cofounder Alice Gilman acknowledged to the publication that the “team reserves the right to hold hypothetical futuristic discussions” involving brainless human clones.

That response is likely to do little to calm critics, who see the idea itself as a glaring warning sign of where biotech ambitions may be heading.

Experts Warn Idea Is Morally and Scientifically Fraught

Scientists cited in the report also made clear that the proposal faces enormous ethical and biological barriers.

Jose Cibelli, a Michigan State University researcher who was among the first to try cloning human embryos in the early 2000s, said the obstacles are immense.

Even with those barriers, the report said R3 Bio founder John Schloendorn has continued exploring the concept for years, including through private seminars and investor pitches.

A Dystopian Vision Hiding Behind Biotech Language

The broader concern is not just whether the idea is currently possible, but that it is being seriously discussed at all.

Animal cloning has been pursued since the 1990s, with Dolly the sheep becoming the first mammal cloned from an adult cell in 1996.

But moving from cloned animals to human bodies has long been viewed as a line that should never be crossed.

Now, critics warn, that line appears to be under pressure from ambitious researchers and billionaire-backed ventures determined to push the boundaries of life, death, and identity.

In a 2024 LinkedIn message cited by the report, Schloendorn wrote:

“We will try to do it in a way that produces defined societal benefits early on, and we need to be prepared to take no for an answer, if it turns out that this cannot be done safely.”

That statement may sound cautious on the surface.

But for many Americans, the fact that “brainless” human clones are even being floated as a serious futuristic discussion is disturbing enough.

The question is no longer just what scientists can do.

It is what they are preparing to justify doing next.

The report: “Human Augmentation – The Dawn of a New Paradigm. A strategic implications project” was published jointly by the UK Ministry of Defence (“MoD”) and German Ministry of Defence in May 2021.

“Reading this document is frankly chilling as the idea of using human augmentation for warfare is considered a fait accompli by the authors. It documents the ways humans can be augmented in great detail,” Dr. Robert Malone wrote, “it is important to understand that the development of human augmentation being presented goes beyond warfare, it suggests that humans will now control our own evolution via genetic engineering.”

This article is a reprint. It was originally published on 30 January 2022.

The Dawn of a New Paradigm report was commissioned to build on the themes identified in the ‘Global Strategic Trends: The Future Starts Today‘ report published in 2018 which describes a future context for defence and security out to 2050.

A 2018 promotional video for Global Strategic Trends stated: “We are already in the middle of a fourth industrial revolution where the boundaries of the physical, digital and biological worlds are softening and merging. This revolution is happening faster and more intensely than any of the previous upheavals, so we must carefully manage the change, actively driving it rather than passively admiring it or we could see increasing unrest, grievance and possibly even social revolution.”

Human Augmentation – The Dawn of a New Paradigm

The publication, ‘Human Augmentation – The Dawn of a New Paradigm’ (“DNP”), is a “think-piece designed to set the foundation for more detailed research and development on human augmentation.” The report states:

“The MoD’s Development, Concepts and Doctrine Centre (“DCDC”) has worked in partnership with the German Bundeswehr Office for Defence Planning to understand the future implications of human augmentation (“HA”), setting the foundation for more detailed Defence research and development.

“The project incorporates research from German, Swedish, Finnish and UK Defence specialists to understand how emerging technologies such as genetic engineering, bioinformatics and the possibility of brain-computer interfaces could affect the future of society, security and Defence. The ethical, moral and legal challenges are complex and must be thoroughly considered, but HA could signal the coming of a new era of strategic advantage with possible implications across the force development spectrum.”

We can assume that although this report is coming from the UK and Germany, parallel efforts are being made by most large governments around the world.

HA will become increasingly relevant partly because it is the binding agent between people and machines, the DNP states, “thinking of the person as a platform and understanding our people at an individual level is fundamental to successful HA.”  It goes on to define the key elements of the “human platform” as physical, psychological and social.

Dr. Malone has highlighted some of the DNP contents in his article ‘Human Augmentation – The Dawn of a New Paradigm’ which you can read HERE.  He concluded by saying, “I ask all of you to please read this report. Absorb this information and get ready for the coming battle.”

For anyone who is unable to believe HA will be used on civilians or that the future “they” dream of is indeed now, it’s worth noting the work being conducted by the likes of Dassault Systèmes, the 3D experience company which “provides business and people with virtual universes to imagine sustainable innovations.” In 2016 Dassault led a program, sponsored by the French government, to revolutionise and transform the “Industry of the Future” – the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

A 2020 promotional video, below, from Dassault gives an indication how human augmentation will affect each and every one of us. It explains how high-tech manufacturers “are in a great position to use the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).”  And that their 3DEXPERIENCE platform “seamlessly connects the entire manufacturing and supply chain ecosystem” where people and machines are connected to sensors.
