The age of artificial intelligence is fuelling a generation of fragile, developmentally stunted and gender-dysphoric children, two analysts warned parents.

Classroom devices, smartphones and, increasingly, AI chatbots are stunting children’s cognitive and emotional development and driving a youth mental-health crisis, Michael Marinacio, executive director of the Centre for Responsible Technology, and Nicole Runyon, a former child psychotherapist and parent coach, said during an online event hosted by parental rights group Moms for Liberty.

“[W]e’re creating mental illness,” Runyon said. “[Children] don’t feel like they can trust themselves or that they’re capable of doing really anything.”

Runyon recalled that, as a counsellor, young people told her “they didn’t want to get married … They didn’t want to bring kids into this world … They feel like they’re this victim in a world that is falling apart.”

In the US, 67% of 12th graders said they were “most likely to choose to get married in the long run,” according to a 2023 Pew Research poll. This is down from 80% in 1993.

Runyon left the child psychotherapy field for parent coaching because she concluded screens and AI were creating the mental health problems that would not otherwise exist and the real work was upstream with parents.

“[AI]’s magnifying what we already were seeing with the screens,” Runyon told the Daily Caller News Foundation (“DCNF”). “[W]ith AI, it actually talks back to them and validates everything they say. So, it’s that much worse and that much more magnified,” compared to social media use.

The result is that children “don’t have to ever have a relationship,” according to Runyon.

The constant dopamine from screens leaves children “numb and disconnected” so they “don’t ever have to do the hard thing or contend with anything,” she told DCNF. In the real world, “It becomes that apathetic, purposelessness, meaninglessness … [T]hey’re lacking that sense of community or sense there’s someone outside of ‘myself’ to serve and to show up for.”

A Vitality in America 2024 study found that 67% of Generation Z reported feeling “loneliness,” compared to 65% of Millennials, 60% of Generation X and only 44% of Baby Boomers.

Meanwhile, Marinaccio highlighted the vast, unprecedented risks posed by these new AI tools.

“On its face, ‘artificial intelligence’ is a subset of screen time, which we already know is extremely damaging to young minds. On a deeper level, these new chatbot tools that kids are using are even more dangerous than the EdTech tools that came before them – ironically from the same rebranded companies,” he told DCNF.

Chatbot-based systems carry a range of serious risks to children, such as hallucinations, ethical bias, student-data harvesting, exposure to explicit content and sycophancy, according to Marinaccio. “We must always be ready to explain what education is and why chatbots are not beneficial to students’ perception of education and ultimately their cognitive development and educational outcomes.”

Jonathan Haidt, a social psychologist at NYU-Stern, predicted that the situation will get much worse for the youth.

“AI is going to intervene very early. The AI is going to be so much more responsive than the parent because parent has a job and the kitchen and two other kids … but the ‘AI teddy bear’ is always there for you,” he said in an interview with The Diary Of A CEO. “[S]o we’re gonna have a whole generation growing up having an attachment to AI generated holograms.”

“Gender confusion is skyrocketing as a result of rampant pornography, herd mentality in social media and just overexposure to awful, awful content,” Marinaccio said. He argued this trend was compounding a broader youth crisis, which he tied to rising youth suicide rates, increased sedentary lifestyles, declining belief in religion and record-low reading and maths scores.

Marinaccio traced these trends to what Haidt called the “great rewiring of childhood” or “the phone-based childhood replac[ing] the play-based childhood,” according to Haidt’s 2024 Substack essay on the matter.

“[T]een depression [ages] 12 to 17 has doubled since 2004. It’s bad for girls and it’s terrible for boys,” Marinaccio said.

Chatbots are even more dangerous, according to Marinaccio. A chatbot is “a speedy indexer … a next-best word guesser” that is only about 50 per cent accurate.

“[I]f you had a teacher in your classroom teaching at a 50% accuracy rating … if you had a teacher teaching at a 70% accuracy rating, you would be fired,” he said.

Israel’s National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir has endorsed plans to abduct women and children, including Christians, from Lebanon. According to Gvir, “conquering territory“, kidnapping the“women and youth” and sending them to Israel is the next phase of Israel’s war plans in the region.

“Let’s start thinking outside the box about Hezbollah,” Ben Gvir said during a security cabinet meeting on Tuesday. “Conquering territory and killing many terrorists, but also detaining their women and youth and taking them to terrorist prisons … That’s what hurts them the most.”

Middle East Eye said the Israeli state already engages in similar behavior:

“Since the 2024 war, Israeli forces have abducted several Lebanese civilians. The exact number remains unknown. They are among 1,316 people currently held under the “unlawful combatant” law, including Palestinians from Gaza and Syria nationals. Detainees held under this legislation – originally enacted in 2002 to detain Lebanese citizens not under Israeli jurisdiction for indefinite, renewable periods – do not have formal indictments against them.”

Israel continues its war against Lebanon and Iran (although it may stop for a day or so) despite President Donald Trump urging Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to cease attacking its neighbours and expanding its borders.

Netanyahu is far from the only Israeli seeking to continue the conflict however.

“Other ministers at the meeting urged Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich to increase funding for military procurement and defense needs as the cabinet discussed the campaign in Lebanon and the possibility of expanding military operations,” The Jerusalem Post said Tuesday.

The Israeli officials may get their wish, as the U.S. is considering merging with the Jewish State so Israel can have access to everything the U.S. has.

Greece has become the latest European country to propose a legal minimum age for social media, with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis saying children under 15 should be barred from accessing the platforms from January 1, 2027. Austria has announced plans for a ban on under-14s, while France has already tried to impose a “digital majority” for under-15s. Australia has gone furthest in practice, presenting itself as the international model after platforms restricted access to 4.7 million underage accounts.

The policy language across these countries is remarkably similar. Governments say they are protecting children from addictive products, sleep disruption and psychological harm. The operational reality is more complicated. Australia’s experience suggests that these measures do not produce a clean ban so much as a large-scale age-verification and enforcement system, one that still leaves obvious routes around the rules while expanding the amount of monitoring and identity checking built into ordinary online life.

Greece Joins the Queue to Introduce Verification for Social Media

Greece says it will ban social media for under-15s from the start of 2027 and will push the European Union to adopt a common digital age of majority at 15, supported by mandatory age verification and a unified enforcement framework. Reuters reported that the Greek government has linked the proposal to rising concern about addiction, anxiety and sleep problems among children, and cited polling showing that public support for the plan is strong. In political terms, the appeal is obvious. Social media is widely distrusted, children are a sympathetic constituency, and governments can present themselves as intervening against powerful and unpopular technology companies.

The difficulty lies in turning the headlines into reality. A ban of this kind can only function if platforms are required to distinguish reliably between those who are old enough and those who are not. Once that becomes the practical focus, the issue is not just whether children should be on Instagram or TikTok, but also becomes a question of who is verifying age, what evidence is being collected, how long that information is retained, and how much new infrastructure is being built to control access to digital spaces. Greece may be selling the policy as child protection, but the route to implementation runs directly through verification systems that are likely to extend far beyond one narrow class of users.

Austria Also Plans to Ban Children from Social Media Apps

Austria is following a similar path. Al Jazeera reported that the Austrian government plans to ban children under 14 from using social media, with junior minister Alexander Proll arguing that the platforms are addictive and harmful to young people. The justification is familiar and, at a broad level, difficult to dispute. These platforms are designed to hold attention, reward compulsion and keep users returning. The weaker point is the assumption that a legal age threshold can be translated smoothly into a workable, proportionate system of enforcement.

As in Greece, the real challenge is not announcing the rule but administering it. If the state intends to stop under-14s from opening accounts, then platforms need stronger forms of age assurance. Stronger age assurance usually means more data collection, more intrusive account checks, greater reliance on third-party verification providers, or the deployment of biometric or behavioural systems to estimate age. Those mechanisms may be politically easier to introduce when framed around child protection, but they still represent an expansion of digital oversight. Austria’s proposal therefore deserves to be read not only as a social policy but also as part of a broader shift toward a more tightly gated and more heavily verified internet.

Australia Leads the Way, But Is the Ban Actually Working?

Australia is now the most important test case because it has moved beyond proposals and into enforcement. Under the government’s social media minimum age framework, age-restricted platforms must take “reasonable steps” to prevent Australians under 16 from holding accounts or face fines. The official government guidance lists major platforms including TikTok, X, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and YouTube among the covered services. In January, Australia’s eSafety Commissioner said platforms had restricted access to roughly 4.7 million under-16 accounts in the first half of December 2025 alone, a number that has since been used as proof that the law is working.

That figure is politically useful, but it does not prove that under-16s have been meaningfully excluded from social media. Reports published last week revealed that enforcement remains uneven, meaning many children are still able to access the platforms, and that a government investigation found widespread non-compliance by major companies. The law has therefore not produced the simple result implied by the rhetoric of a ban. Instead, it has produced a more heavily policed system in which millions of accounts are flagged or removed, while underage access continues and the platforms gather more signals in order to decide who should be allowed in.

Australia has not demonstrated that a social media ban for minors can be implemented cleanly. It has demonstrated that such a ban becomes an ongoing exercise in verification, suppression and surveillance.

France Tried to Restrict Social Media for Children Before, But Failed

France offers a different kind of warning. It passed a law in 2023 requiring parental consent for under-15s to create social media accounts and was often presented as one of the first European states to establish a digital age threshold. In practice, Euronews reported that the measure never properly took effect because it ran into legal and regulatory difficulties under the EU’s Digital Services Act. France therefore managed to achieve the symbolic politics of a ban without fully delivering the operational reality.

That experience is instructive for Greece and Austria because it shows that these policies face two kinds of friction. The first is legal, especially in Europe, where national rules must coexist with EU-wide regulatory frameworks. The second is technical and social. Children are adept at evading restrictions, platforms do not enforce rules consistently, and reliable age verification is still difficult to implement without collecting more personal information than many people would consider reasonable. A policy that begins as a promise to shield children from addictive apps can therefore end up stalled in law, weakened in practice, or translated into a much more expansive identification system than its supporters first described.

The Overall Trend Points Towards More Verification In Future

Countries including Britain, Spain, Slovenia, Denmark, Malaysia, Canada and parts of the United States are also considering or debating restrictions of this kind. That reflects a broad and understandable loss of confidence in social media companies, whose products are increasingly regarded as addictive and harmful, especially for children. It also reflects a political environment in which governments are under pressure to be seen responding to a problem that is now widely acknowledged.

Still, the spread of these laws points to a second and less openly discussed development. Every serious effort to keep minors off social media depends on stronger proof-of-age systems. Stronger proof-of-age systems lead almost inevitably to broader identity checks, more platform data collection, and more routine demands that users prove themselves before entering digital spaces. In that sense, the trend is not only about restricting children’s access. It is also about normalising a model of internet governance based on verification and controlled entry. Even when the policy objective is defensible, the infrastructure it requires deserves scrutiny on its own terms.

Final Thought

Europe’s turn toward social media age bans reflects a genuine problem and a popular political instinct. The platforms are addictive, they are damaging to children, and governments are no longer willing to leave the issue entirely to Silicon Valley. What Australia has shown, however, is that these bans do not function as simple prohibitions. They operate as systems of age assurance, account suppression and ongoing compliance, while underage users still find ways through. Greece and Austria may soon follow the same path. If they do, the headline will be child protection, but the deeper legacy may be a more heavily monitored internet in which access depends increasingly on verification and the recording of user identity.

The Canadian government is considering plans to mandate euthanasia for mentally ill patients – including children – marking a chilling escalation in the country’s already controversial “assisted suicide” regime.

Eugenics advocate Jocelyn Downie, a longtime lobbyist for the euthanasia industry and professor emerita at Dalhousie University, made the case during testimony before Canada’s Special Joint Committee on Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD). Downie is demanding that the government approve euthanasia for mentally ill individuals in order to supposedly “help” them.

Lifenews.com reports: Downie threatened the committee by stating:

“What will happen, if there is an extension or an exclusion, is that people will die by suicide”

Downie is saying that the answer to suicidal ideation is suicide and people will die by suicide if they do not have access to euthanasia.

The threat that people who are denied euthanasia will die by suicide is a pressure tactic that is not true.

The Supreme Court of Canada accepted the suicide argument in Carter when it struck down Canada’s laws that protected people from being killed by euthanasia, but the Supreme Court was wrong.

If the premise that people will die by suicide if euthanasia is not available to them is correct then Canada’s suicide rate should have gone down after euthanasia became an option for people who are not terminally ill.

But Canada’s suicide rate has increased.

According to the Government of Canada suicide mortality statistics, there were 3,978 recorded suicide deaths in Canada in 2016, the year that Canada legalized euthanasia. In 2021, the year that Canada expanded the euthanasia law to people who are not terminally ill, there were 3,927 recorded suicide deaths. In 2023, two years after extending euthanasia to people who are not terminally ill, there were 4,735 reported suicide deaths in Canada, representing a greater than 20% increase from 2021.

I am not arguing that Canada’s increase in suicide deaths was directly related to Canada’s expansion of euthanasia, but I am saying that if Jocelyn Downie was correct, the suicide rate should have decreased, whereas in fact it has significantly increased.
Canada has had a massive increase in deaths by euthanasia.

Health Canada released their Sixth Annual Report on Medical Assistance in Dying in Canada on November 28, 2025 (2024 deaths) which indicated a 6.9% increase from the Fifth Annual report (2023 deaths).

The 2024 report indicates that there were 16,499 reported (MAiD) euthanasia deaths which was up by 6.9% from 15,427 in 2023.

In 2025, we know that euthanasia increased by 7.3% in Ontario and 11% increase in Alberta.

I predict that in 2025, the increase in Canadian (MAiD) euthanasia deaths was greater than 7% with the number of euthanasia deaths being approximately 17,700.

Clearly, there is no indication that the massive growth in Canadian euthanasia deaths has resulted in a lower rate of other suicides.

Suicide rates do not decrease in jurisdictions that have legalized euthanasia or assisted suicide.

In December 2020 I responded to a statement by Canadian Senator Stanley Kutcher who said:

in jurisdictions, such as Belgium and the Netherlands, where assisted death is legal, that the suicide rates have decreased. He then stated that there is no link between assisted death and the rate of suicide in jurisdictions where it is legal.

The problem with Senator Kutcher’s statement was that he was absolutely wrong.

In the article I explain that in jurisdictions that have legalized euthanasia or assisted suicide, there are no jurisdictions, that over a long period of time, have experienced a decrease in suicide deaths.

Further to that, in February 2022 bio-ethicist David Albert Jones published an article explaining that: In Europe, suicides rise after ‘right-to-die’ is legalised. Jones provided a comparison between European countries that have legalized assisted dying and those that had not legalized it and found that countries that had legalized assisted dying experienced an increase in suicide rates compared to countries that had not legalized assisted dying who generally had a lessening of the suicide rate.

In other words, Downie is using a false argument to scare monger Members of Parliament into approving euthanasia for mental illness alone. Downie uses court decisions to uphold her position but the Justices are not suicide prevention experts and in fact are wrong in their assumption that legalizing euthanasia will prevent suicide.

Minimally speaking, legalizing euthanasia does not lead to a decrease in suicide rates and the data suggests that legalizing euthanasia or assisted suicide has a suicide contagion effect leading, long term, to higher suicide rates.

A California jury has found Meta and YouTube liable in a landmark case on children’s social media addictions, ruling that Instagram and YouTube were negligently designed and that they failed to warn users about the risks to minors. The plaintiff, identified as KGM, said she became hooked on YouTube at six and Instagram at nine, and that the platforms contributed to depression, self-harm, and a deep deterioration in her mental health.

Alongside a hefty $375 million in civil penalties imposed in a New Mexico case, jurors awarded KGM $6 million in damages, assigning 70% of the fault to Meta and 30% to Google’s YouTube, and recommended punitive damages after finding what the AP described as “malicious” disregard for the risks to children.

This case sets precedent for holding platforms directly accountable, following years of claims that social media risks are overblown and that parents are to blame. While the mental health deterioration of young people today may be attributed to multiple factors, this is the first significant case in which a jury has pointed the finger directly at the platforms themselves.

A Verdict Years in the Making

The Los Angeles case is the first bellwether trial in a much larger wave of litigation over harm to children and social media addiction. Reuters reported that it is one of thousands of similar cases consolidated in California state court, and AP noted that the outcome could influence more than 20 planned test trials as well as broader litigation involving Meta, Google, Snap, and TikTok. TikTok and Snap settled before this particular trial, leaving Meta and YouTube to face the verdict.

The sheer scale of these combined cases highlight a shift from isolated complaints into a massive trial against social media companies, as millions of families are starting to process a new social reality. Reuters said the jury found both companies liable for negligently designing their platforms in ways that contributed to the plaintiff’s addiction and mental-health damage. The case was framed around product design, not just harmful posts or bad users, which is a crucial distinction because it shifts attention onto the business model itself.

Social Media Platforms Are Designed This Way on Purpose

The plaintiff’s lawyers argued that features such as infinite scroll, autoplay, and constant engagement loops were not accidental conveniences. They were deliberate design choices aimed at keeping children online for longer. The Guardian reported that jurors accepted the core of that argument, concluding that the platforms were negligently designed and that they failed to adequately warn users about the risks. AP similarly reported that the jury found the companies were aware their platforms could harm minors and did not do enough to warn them.

This is the part social media companies have spent years trying to blur. They prefer to talk about “tools”, “communities” and “self-expression”, but the evidence emerging in court points in a different direction. These are engineered behavioural products built to maximise time, dependence, and return visits, especially among the young, impressionable, and emotionally unstable. This ruling confirms that these are not side effects, but rather the desired, deliberately engineered outcomes.

Social Media Platforms’ “Get out of Jail Free” Card is Finally at Risk

One reason this verdict is so significant is that it appears to sidestep the usual immunity argument. The California case, along with a separate New Mexico case against Meta, has reignited the fight over Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, which generally protects platforms from liability for user-generated content. These cases got around that shield by focusing on platform design rather than on individual posts. In plain terms, the argument is no longer only that bad content appeared on social media. It is that the product itself was built badly, dangerously, and profitably.

That legal shift could be far more threatening to Silicon Valley than many realise. Meta and Google can live with bad headlines and back-to-back hearings. What becomes harder to absorb is a legal theory that treats their platforms less like neutral pipelines for self-expression and more like purposely defective products. Both companies plan to appeal this ruling. But as cases mount in the thousands, courts will continue to seriously examine the ways in which these companies build compulsion into the very fabric of their platforms.

The $375 Million Meta Penalty for Harm to Children

This verdict came just as another jury in New Mexico hit Meta with a $375 million penalty over harms to children, finding that the company knowingly harmed minors’ mental health and safety and violated state law. Jurors in that case concluded Meta misled users, failed to prevent child exploitation, and exploited children’s inexperience for profit. Together, the California and New Mexico verdicts amount to $381 million in penalties and damages in a matter of days.

The financial figures alone will not cripple these companies. The California award is tiny compared with the size of Meta and Google, whose annual capital spending exceeds $100 billion. But the reputational and legal direction is far more important than the dollar amount. These back-to-back rulings are a sign that public and jury sentiment is shifting against Big Tech. The old presumption of invincibility is starting to crack, at least in the courtroom.

It’s Bigger Than a Single Ruling Against Meta or Google

Do not treat this development as a single victory involving teenagers. Social media companies have built a culture in which addiction is recast as engagement, psychological manipulation is rebranded as personalisation, and the colonisation of childhood attention is presented as innovation. This reveals that parents and families behind thousands of cases see these rulings as a long-overdue sign that the industry may finally be forced to answer for what it has done to young users.

For many of us, it’s been clear for years that mainstream media platforms deform culture and skew the truth in many ways. For years, these companies have insisted their platforms simply reflect human behaviour. In reality, they shape it, steer it, and monetise it. They reward vanity, outrage, exhibitionism, voyeurism, and emotional instability because those states keep users engaged for longer and returning more often. Children were always the most profitable users to capture early, not because families failed, but because the products were built to exploit vulnerability, habit formation, and emotional dependence at the stages of life where resistance is weakest. This latest verdict acknowledges the true intentions of these companies.

Final Thought

The most important thing about the LA case is not the $6 million award. It is that a jury was willing to say the platforms themselves were responsible. That is a serious break from the old mythology of social media as a neutral tool corrupted only by bad actors and weak parents. Instagram and YouTube were built to capture attention, deepen dependence, and keep young users coming back. Now, at least in one courtroom, that business model has finally been called what it is.

Researchers have warned that millions of children around the globe now have ‘permanent brain damage’ as a result of the harsh lockdowns inflicted during the pandemic.

A new study led by the University of East Anglia highlights the severe cognitive impairment on children aged four to five, when the first lockdowns hit in March 2020—a critical stage for learning to socialize, follow routines, and navigate classroom life. Instead, millions of youngsters were trapped at home, subjected to online “learning” or parental teaching amid widespread government mandates.

Modernity.news reports: These children, now around 10 to 11 in their final year of primary school, showed less growth in self-regulatory and cognitive flexibility scores over time compared to a group who were in preschool during the initial outbreak, according to the research published in the journal Child Development.

Researchers from the University of East Anglia, along with some from Lancaster University, and Durham University tracked 139 children aged between two-and-a-half and six-and-a-half over several years, with baseline data from before Covid allowing precise measurement of how development stalled.

Using the Minnesota Executive Function Scale, they assessed cognitive skills at regular intervals. Lead researcher Prof John Spencer from UEA’s School of Psychology said: “Children who were in reception when the country shut down showed much slower growth in key self-regulation and cognitive flexibility skills over the next few years than children who were still in preschool.”

“Reception is a critical year for peer socialisation. It’s when children learn classroom norms and build early friendships that shape their confidence,” Spencer added.

For this cohort starting school in 2020, classrooms shuttered, routines collapsed, and social interactions were severely restricted under heavy-handed policies. “Without these experiences, children’s self-regulatory skills didn’t develop as quickly year-on-year after the lockdowns ended,” Spencer further noted.

Many in this group also suffered repeated Covid infections, potentially compounding the damage from isolation. “Our findings suggest that peer socialisation and the new self–regulatory skills children must master in reception might be particularly critical for the development of executive function skills,” the researchers stated.

“Without these experiences, reception children had a challenging time developing self–regulation and cognitive flexibility in the years that followed the pandemic,” the study adds.

The research underscores how top-down government interventions disrupted natural childhood milestones, with effects lingering years later. It calls for more support from teachers, schools, and health services for this affected generation, while raising red flags about safeguarding kids in future “emergencies.”

A 2023 report by Speech and Language UK revealed the average child missed 84 school days due to Covid policies. Eight in ten teachers reported worsened pupil inattention post-pandemic, blaming screen-based “learning” and stunted social skills.

Teachers have also noted rises in needless chatter, shouting, and inappropriate laughing, with the “ever-swiping nature” of social media like TikTok worsening the fallout.

Previous research showed teenage girls’ brains aged prematurely by up to four years during lockdowns, with boys affected by one-and-a-half years—linked to social restrictions hitting girls harder.

University of Washington researchers compared MRI scans from 2018 to post-pandemic ones in 2021-2022, finding accelerated cortical thinning, a natural process tied to anxiety, stress, and higher disorder risks. Whether this is permanent remains unclear, but it spotlights the unseen toll of isolating youth.

This latest warning adds to a mountain of evidence exposing lockdowns as a disastrous overreach that prioritized control over common sense, devastating children’s futures.

A previous study highlighted how lockdowns drove 60,000 children in the UK to clinical depression, with the enforced isolation sparking widespread mental health crises among youth that required professional intervention.

Another investigation revealed that babies born during lockdown were less likely to speak before their first birthday, as the lack of face-to-face interactions and exposure to facial expressions hindered early language acquisition.

A further study found many children unable to say their own name due to the impact of lockdown, pointing to profound speech and developmental delays from limited social engagement.

Research also uncovered that children were suffering from as many as three different viruses simultaneously due to weakened immunity caused by lockdown, since prolonged indoor confinement prevented the natural building of defenses against common pathogens.

In addition, an outbreak of hepatitis in children was directly attributed to lockdowns that weakened immunity, resulting in unexpected surges of the liver condition among previously healthy kids.

Doctors also raised alarms over a mysterious outbreak of brain infections in Nevada kids, believing it was linked to COVID lockdowns that left children’s immune systems vulnerable and unprepared for routine exposures.

Disturbing lockdown drawings also illustrated the severe effect on children’s mental health, where artwork captured the trauma, fear, and emotional distress from being cut off from normal life.

These findings, among others like excess deaths and ignored warnings, paint a picture of policy failure. Lockdown zealots dismissed the collateral damage, but the data doesn’t lie—government mandates crushed freedom and futures alike.

Never again should bureaucrats be allowed to play god with our kids’ lives. Prioritizing liberty and evidence over fear is the only way to protect the next generation from such needless harm.

The UN is currently finalising changes to “children’s rights” to give them access to abortions without parental consent.

This is not the first attack on children, families and all of our futures using “children’s rights” as the excuse.  In 2023, the UN issued “guidance” which explicitly links “children’s rights” to the UN’s nefarious climate change agenda.

Climate Change and Children’s Rights

In 2023, the UN issued new guidance to member states from the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child. The Committee produces “General Comments” to explain the rights contained in the Convention on the Rights of the Child (“CRC”) and its Optional Protocols and provide guidance with respect to particular issues.  General Comments are key standards that help States improve both the way they write their reports and the way they implement the treaties.

General Comment No. 26 provides a comprehensive interpretation of UN member States’ obligations under the CRC and affirms for the first time that children have a fundamental right to live in a clean, healthy and sustainable environment. It explicitly links this right to the “climate crisis,” biodiversity loss and pollution, emphasising that States must not only protect children from immediate environmental harm but also prevent foreseeable future violations due to current actions or inaction.

The Committee stresses that States are accountable for environmental harm occurring both within their borders and beyond and urges urgent action, including phasing out fossil fuels, transitioning to renewable energy, improving air and water quality, and protecting biodiversity. It also mandates that children’s views be meaningfully considered in environmental decision-making and highlights the importance of environmental education.

It is claimed that the development of General Comment No. 26 involved extensive global consultation, including with children, civil society and national human rights institutions, and reflects the growing recognition that the climate crisis is a child rights crisis.

We must remember that children are being brainwashed in schools and through entertainment and other media to, among others, blindly follow the UN’s false narrative about a climate change crisis.  Children are not expressing their own minds but, rather, innocently repeating what they have been indoctrinated to say.  It is no wonder then that the UN is encouraging a small number of UN-indoctrinated children to “have their say” and to participate in decision-making that affects the world, now and in the future; the UN’s propaganda is not influencing parents so they are bypassing the adults and targeting innocent children to be their pawns.

“Justice” and Children’s Rights

The UN has not limited its egregious “guidance” under the guise of “children’s rights” to a manufactured climate change crisis.  A second general comment, No. 27, is currently being finalised.  According to Childs Rights Connect’s estimated timeline, the guidance will be “launched” in May 2026.  This “guidance” emphasises children’s access to “justice,” including the need for access to abortion services.

Argentina has strongly criticised the draft, arguing it exceeds the Committee’s mandate, violates national sovereignty and parental rights, and confuses procedural access to justice with the broader fulfilment of rights.

The Ordo Iuris Institute raised concerns that the use of “gender” instead of “sex” could lead to irreversible medical interventions for minors without parental consent, citing cases like a Canadian father imprisoned for opposing his daughter’s gender transition.  They argued that such cases do “not provide access to the justice of the child, but rather an irreversible damage on a subject not yet mature.”

The Committee has a long-standing history of advocating for abortion access, beginning in the late 1990s, including urging decriminalisation and opposing parental notification laws.

Don’t Let the UN Redefine Children’s Rights!

A quiet UN committee is about to change the meaning of “children’s rights.”

Right now, the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child is finalising a new interpretation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child – without a vote, without public debate and without asking parents.

If adopted, this text won’t stay on paper. It will become a new “global standard” and be cited in courtrooms, enforced in schools and hospitals, and used to pressure parents who refuse to comply.

And what it pushes is extreme – and dangerous.

The draft treats abortion for minors as a child’s right that must be provided quickly, and removes parents from the decision entirely.

It also pushes gender ideology, demanding that states reshape laws and institutions to affirm a child’s declared “gender identity,” sidelining parents who say no.

They call this “access” and “protection.” In reality, it means parents are pushed out of decisions that will have lifelong consequences for their children.

Once something is labelled a “child’s right” at the UN, parents are no longer decision-makers.

Institutions step in. Courts intervene. And parents are treated as obstacles to overcome rather than the primary caregivers who understand their child’s needs best.

This was never agreed: not by voters, not by parliaments and not by parents.

No country signed a treaty giving children the right to abortion. No country agreed that gender transition should override parental responsibility.

Yet if governments stay silent (as they often do), this text will be adopted quietly and then used for years to pressure families around the world.

This is how radical ideas become normal. Quietly. Technically. Permanently.

We are calling on the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child and Ambassador Martin Fraser and Ambassador Laurence Simms, Ireland’s Ambassadors to the UN in New York and Geneva, to stop this rewrite before it is locked in.

Parents must not be pushed aside. Children need protection, not ideology.

The vaccine topic is very controversial and the amount of information about this topic on both sides (pro and anti) is staggering. I understand that it can be very difficult for you or any parent to sift through mountains of information and make heads or tails of it all. So, on this page, I’m going to try to give you the fastest possible, most important points, with links to more information, so you can do the in-depth research that you must do to come to a conclusion that vaccines are neither safe nor effective and, therefore, are not needed for your children – and were never needed for children. Let’s begin!

Vaccination and Natural Immunity

• Vaccines never saved us: Death from all infectious diseases dropped over 98% before most vaccines were introduced. Measles deaths dropped 99.96% before the vaccine was introduced. Death from Scarlet Fever also dropped in the same way, and there’s no vaccine for it.

• Unvaccinated children are healthier than vaccinated children according to numerous studies and the parents who have both.

• Vaccines destroy immune capacity, which is why unvaccinated children recover from illnesses faster than vaccinated children.

• Healthy children do not die from infections – malnourished children do. Vaccines are not the solution – proper nutrition is. Vitamins A and C easily treat measles, for example.

• Homoeopathy was used in the 1800s and early 1900s to stop disease outbreaks, but was stopped in the early 1900s by the allopathic medical lobby to make way for toxic vaccines and drugs.

• High-dose vitamin C, in the form of intravenous therapies (“IVs”), intramuscular injections (“IMs”) and oral use, was used successfully to treat and cure a wide variety of diseases, including polio, since the 1950s and is still used today by alternative doctors.

• Vaccines do not confer immunity – meaning, they do not work. When a child winds up with the symptoms for which the child was vaccinated, the unvaccinated are blamed instead of the faulty vaccination process.

• Healthy, well-nourished children recover from childhood illnesses and respond well to herbs, homoeopathy, nutritional supplements and other safe and effective remedies – see book below.

• Vaccines subdue immune response, but this is not immunity – infections just go deeper into the body.

• Vaccines aggressively overstimulate the immune system to create antibodies to injected antigens. But again, this is not immunity and this overstimulation of the immune system never dies down entirely, giving rise to chronic health ailments.

• Children have lived on despite being poisoned by vaccines, not because of it (extremely important).

Since being introduced into Parliament on 17 December 2024, the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill has passed three readings in the House of Commons and is currently at the report stage before being read for a third time in the House of Lords.

The Bill, touted as “to make provision about the safeguarding and welfare of children,” is not about children’s welfare.  It is part of the cradle-to-grave government surveillance and control system.

To understand the Government’s latest move to hoodwink the public into accepting their enslavement or the enslavement of their children, we need to begin with digital IDs and why they want to implement them.

The government says digital IDs are required to “make it easier … to use vital government services” and “to send a clear message that if you come [to the UK] illegally, you will not be able to work, deterring people from making dangerous journeys.”

The UK government has meanwhile been facilitating immigration, and so causing the problems for which it claims digital IDs will solve.

In a recent interview with Liz Gunn, host of FreeNZ, Andrew Bridgen revealed undisclosed chartered flights bringing migrants from Syria and Gaza into Manchester Airport, bypassing standard passport controls.

He also discussed the suppression of his speech at a recent London march, the troubling state of UK policing and the looming threat of digital IDs and globalist agendas, urging resistance to maintain freedom.

On 9 June 2025, a petition was lodged on the UK Parliament website. Given the title ‘Do not introduce Digital ID cards’, it has to date garnered more than 2.7 million signatures. Parliament considers a debate for all petitions that get more than 100,000 signatures.  The website states that a date for debate, if considered worthy of debate, will be provided in 11 days.

In the meantime, because the petition has garnered more than 10,000 signatures, the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (“DSIT”) issued a response on 2 October.  Below are some highlights (emphasis added). You can read the full response on the petition’s webpage HERE.

We will introduce a digital ID within this Parliament to help tackle illegal migration, make accessing government services easier, and enable wider efficiencies. We will consult on details soon.

Currently, when UK citizens and residents use public services, start a new job, or, for example, buy alcohol, they often need to present an assortment of physical documents to prove who they are or things about themselves.

This is not a card but a new digital identity that will be available for free to all UK citizens and legal residents aged 16 and over (although we will consider through consultation if this should be age 13 and over). Over time, people will be able to use it to seamlessly access a range of public and private sector services … It will not be compulsory to obtain a digital ID but it will be mandatory for some applications.

For example, the new digital ID will build on GOV.UK One Login and the GOV.UK Wallet to drive the transformation of public services. Over time, this system will allow people to access government services – such as benefits or tax records.

By the end of this Parliament, employers will have to check the new digital ID when conducting a ‘right to work’ check. People in the UK already know and trust digital credentials held in their phone wallets to use in their everyday lives, from paying for things to storing boarding passes. The new system will be built on similar technology and be your boarding pass to government.

In the response, you’ll note that DSIT states, “It will not be compulsory to obtain a digital ID but it will be mandatory for some applications.”  The implied “voluntary” nature is a psychological tactic that has been used over and over again.  What is the aim of this flowery language? It’s so that people don’t resist the legislation or, perhaps, even view it as beneficial.  We should be in no doubt that once it’s in place, the legislation will be expanded, and it will be made compulsory.

What should raise red flags with even the most ardent supporters of increasing government control is the consideration to include children 13 years and over. Parliament claims the digital ID is for “public services, start a new job, or, for example, buy alcohol,” “allow people to access government services – such as benefits or tax records” and “right to work check.”  What 13-year-old child would need an ID to be able to do any of those?

Including children in the digital ID scheme raises other questions. For example, why are they considering making the cut-off at 13 years old? If you want to monitor and control every person, why not be honest and lower the age to include babies from the time they are born?  It’s because other legislation that is currently being pushed through Parliament will control under-13s.

In a video posted today, Bernie Spofforth (“Bernie”) explained that the Government is quietly pushing through a bill that creates a digital ID for every child, linking their education, health, beliefs and “protected characteristics” into a lifelong dossier.

Called the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill, it gives sweeping powers to expand data collection, override parental rights and force reporting on “noncompliance.”

The Bill covers children and young people who are looked after by local authorities and those who were looked after at the age of 16, now aged under 25 and no longer looked after.  It specifically addresses care leavers up to the age of 25

The Bill also includes provisions related to children aged 5 to 16 in mainstream schools and children who are being educated at home.

If you want to know how the Government is tricking the public into thinking the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill is benign, read the information provided on the Bill’s second reading and committee stage in the House of Commons.  It highlights a wish list of, not necessarily beneficial and relatively minor, gains while deliberately excluding the significant and very real consequences of centralising the Government’s surveillance and control over children’s lives:

Part one of the bill includes a series of measures on children’s social care, including kinship care, child protection, care leavers, accommodation for looked after children, and the social care workforce.

Part two of the bill contains measures on school-level education, including on breakfast clubs, uniform, registers of children not in school, independent providers, teacher misconduct, academies, and on school places and admissions.

Have children under 5 escaped the Government’s surveillance and control net?  No.

In June, we published an article which included a section about the National Health Service (“NHS”) making plans to sequence and store all babies’ DNA at birth.  The Generation Study, a research programme led by Genomics England in partnership with the NHS, aims to recruit 100,000 newborn babies across England to sequence and store their genomes.  Recruitment began in 2024 and is scheduled to run until March 2027.

On its website, Genomics England has a page titled ‘Newborn Genomes Programme: Designing the NHS-embedded Generation Study’.  Although the UK government’s blog provides a link to this page twice (see the words “The Genome Study” and “Genomics England’s website” in the images below), there are no details available.

“Within a decade, every newborn will undergo whole genome sequencing,” The Telegraph reported.  So, in a generation’s time, every adult born in the UK will have their DNA on a centralised database.  They are gradually and incrementally implementing a cradle-to-grave identity, surveillance and control system for every single person using digital identities and DNA.

If you care about your children’s future, do not enrol them in any of the Government’s identification schemes.
