Unelected EU Leaders Move to Seize Private Savings to Fund Globalist Goals

European Union bureaucrats are setting their sights on seizing control of a staggering $10 trillion in private household savings as Brussels scrambles to finance its sprawling climate, defense, and globalist agenda.

The unelected European Commission is pushing ahead with its so-called “Savings and Investments Union,” a scheme designed to redirect vast sums currently sitting in Europeans’ bank accounts toward investments favored by the bloc.

EU officials openly acknowledge that approximately “€10 trillion in household savings” is currently held in bank deposits rather than European capital markets.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has now declared that Brussels wants to take control of these funds to “put these savings to work.”

In a speech before business elites in France, von der Leyen called on fellow eurocrats to “unlock” the general public’s savings and “reinvest” the funds in the globalist agenda.

While the current proposal does not yet authorize the EU to simply confiscate citizens’ bank balances, the push has ignited fears that the move will inevitably lead to Brussels seizing the general public’s savings.

The calls come as EU governments struggle under mounting debt and enormous spending commitments.

Brussels Targets Europeans’ Private Wealth

The European Commission says Europe requires hundreds of billions of euros in additional investment every year to pursue its strategic objectives.

According to the Commission, the bloc faces massive funding demands from climate policies, technological development, geopolitical upheaval, and increased defense spending.

The Draghi report estimates that Europe needs an additional €750 billion to €800 billion every year by 2030.

Rather than relying exclusively on government spending or traditional bank financing, Brussels wants to channel more private capital into those priorities.

The European Council estimates that approximately €10 trillion of household savings is currently sitting in low-yield bank deposits.

“This mismatch prevents savings from being used effectively to support business investments and the broader real economy,” the Council states.

Plans under consideration include tax incentives, investment accounts, changes to securitization rules, regulatory reforms, and increasingly integrated financial supervision.

The objective is clear: persuade Europeans to move enormous amounts of privately held money out of ordinary bank deposits and into capital markets aligned with Brussels’ investment priorities.

Von der Leyen, the EU’s unelected leader, spelled out that ambition while addressing French business leaders in Paris on August 27.

“€10 trillion of household savings is currently sitting in bank deposits, and a significant part of European savings is invested outside our continent,” von der Leyen said.

“Europe must now put these savings to work for its companies, and that is the goal of the Savings and Investment Union.”

“We have put proposals on the table on securitisation, bank and insurance investments, the integration of our markets and their supervision.”

“Together, they can unlock up to €470 billion in additional investment.”

EU Needs Hundreds of Billions Every Year

Brussels’ hunt for private capital comes as European governments struggle under enormous debt burdens while simultaneously pursuing hugely expensive climate, industrial, infrastructure, digital, and defense policies.

The Draghi report estimates that the EU needs another €750 billion to €800 billion annually to meet those ambitions.

That amounts to approximately 4.4% to 4.7% of Europe’s annual GDP.

Meanwhile, public debt reached 82.9% of EU GDP during the first quarter of 2026 and 88.9% across the eurozone.

Some of Europe’s largest economies are carrying even greater burdens.

France’s debt stood at 117.6% of GDP, while Italy reached 138.9% and Greece 143.5%.

Against that backdrop, the enormous pool of private wealth sitting in Europeans’ bank accounts has become increasingly attractive to Brussels.

The European Commission insists the Savings and Investments Union would benefit citizens and businesses by creating deeper capital markets and potentially generating higher returns for savers.

But the initiative also gives EU policymakers an obvious route toward mobilizing private wealth when governments cannot finance Brussels’ ambitions through public spending alone.

‘More Integration, More Common Supervision’

The project is not entirely new.

The Savings and Investments Union is effectively the successor to the Capital Markets Union launched in 2015.

European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde acknowledged in 2024 that dozens of regulatory and non-legislative initiatives had already been proposed as part of that earlier effort.

Yet European officials concluded that the project had failed to produce the deep, integrated capital markets they wanted.

Brussels’ answer is now another push toward deeper financial integration and common supervision.

The European Conservative noted that the revived initiative amounts to “more integration, more common supervision, and another regulatory package.”

The enormous financial ambitions are unfolding alongside a broader transformation of the global monetary system.

The Bank for International Settlements has been promoting the development of “tokenised unified ledgers” incorporating central bank money, commercial bank deposits, and government bonds.

“Tokenisation – the digital representation of assets on programmable platforms – integrates messaging, reconciliation and settlement into a single seamless operation, and can transform cross-border payments and securities markets, ushering in a new era for the financial system,” the BIS states.

The concept is separate from the EU’s Savings and Investments Union, but both developments highlight the accelerating effort by governments and financial institutions to reshape how private capital moves through increasingly integrated financial systems.

Central Banks Prepare for AI Financial Disruption

The transformation is not limited to Europe.

Global central bankers gathering at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City’s Jackson Hole symposium recently confronted another emerging threat to the existing financial order: artificial intelligence.

Princeton University economist Markus Brunnermeier outlined scenarios in which AI-powered trading systems could operate so rapidly that central banks might be forced to fundamentally change how monetary policy is communicated and implemented.

Among the possibilities discussed were central banks becoming deliberately less predictable to prevent AI systems from gaming monetary policy and governments intervening more directly in credit markets to counter machine-driven manipulation.

Taken together, the developments point toward an increasingly centralized and technologically sophisticated financial architecture.

For Europeans, however, the immediate issue is much simpler.

Brussels has identified an enormous pool of private wealth that it believes isn’t being put to sufficient use.

That pool belongs to ordinary households.

And EU leaders have now openly declared that they want to put roughly €10 trillion of those savings “to work” advancing Europe’s investment priorities.

Bill Gates Sounds Alarm Over ‘Insane’ AI Takeover of Humans

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has issued a dire warning about the looming artificial intelligence revolution, predicting that AI will soon dominate humanity, wipe out huge numbers of jobs, and unleash unprecedented economic turmoil.

After years of publicly championing the technology’s potential, Gates is now sounding the alarm about the consequences of allowing AI to advance without adequate safeguards.

In a lengthy new essay, the billionaire warned that humanity is rapidly approaching one of the most disruptive periods it has ever faced.

“AI will either be the greatest equalizer ever invented, or the worst source of injustice,” Gates wrote.

“Even under the best circumstances,” he continued, the “transition to this new AI era will be one of the most turbulent times in human history.”

However, Gates says he has been stunned by what he describes as a lack of urgency surrounding the threat.

“I am in a state of shock that I’m sort of the first one saying, ‘This is crazy. This is insane,’” Gates told Semafor.

“I’m just deafened by the silence.”

Gates Warns AI Will Destroy More Jobs Than It Creates

Gates warns that the coming transformation will be fundamentally different from previous technological revolutions.

Historically, technological advances have eliminated certain occupations while eventually creating new industries and jobs.

Gates now believes AI could break that pattern.

Rather than merely automating particular forms of manual or repetitive work, AI is increasingly capable of performing tasks across virtually every sector of the economy.

“There isn’t a job that isn’t affected,” Gates warned.

“It’s different not because the speed is different, but the breadth is what makes it utterly, utterly a unique moment in evolutionary history.”

The warning comes as AI systems continue rapidly expanding into areas once considered largely protected from automation, including professional and white-collar work.

Gates also fears that mass displacement could trigger a furious public backlash against the technology.

“What is the backlash going to be as these jobs go away?” he asked.

“It’ll make the data center thing look like nothing.”

Yet Gates is not calling for AI development to end.

Instead, one of his concerns is that failing to manage the upheaval could turn millions of displaced workers against AI entirely, preventing society from realizing what he believes are the technology’s potential benefits.

Gates Says Tech Elites Are Privately ‘Very Worried’

Perhaps Gates’s most explosive warning concerns what the people developing and financing AI are saying behind closed doors.

According to Gates, technology insiders who understand the capabilities of increasingly powerful AI systems are far more alarmed privately than their public statements suggest.

“In private, people who understand how good this stuff is, and how much better it’s getting, they’re very worried,” Gates told the New York Times.

However, Gates suggested enormous financial interests are discouraging those insiders from publicly acknowledging their concerns.

Rather than warning the public, Gates said industry figures are telling each other:

“Hey, man, don’t say that. It’s bad for us — the next trillion dollars we’re trying to raise.”

The admission raises serious questions about whether Americans are receiving the full picture from the corporations racing to build increasingly powerful artificial intelligence systems.

If Gates is correct, some of the same people seeking staggering sums of money to accelerate AI development privately fear the consequences of the technology they are promoting.

AI-Engineered Bioterrorism Risk ‘50 Times’ Greater

Mass unemployment is not the only threat troubling Gates.

The Microsoft founder revealed that he has completed an entire book examining the possibility of a pandemic caused by an AI-engineered virus.

“The bioterrorism risk is 50 times the natural pandemic risk now,” Gates warned.

His concerns come as increasingly capable AI systems raise questions about whether advanced technology could make dangerous biological knowledge more accessible to malicious actors.

Gates also warned that AI’s effects will stretch far beyond employment and economic disruption.

The technology is already becoming embedded across communications, education, information, healthcare, government, and other critical areas of society.

The extraordinary breadth of that transformation is precisely what Gates says separates AI from earlier technological revolutions.

Gates Changes His Tune as Public Backlash Grows

Gates’s dramatic warning represents a striking shift from the optimism that has characterized much of his public commentary about artificial intelligence.

The billionaire has hardly become an opponent of AI.

Instead, he argues that governments and technology companies must prevent the transition from becoming so destructive that the public turns against the technology altogether.

Harvard Professor Issues Alert: Tech Elites Are Pushing AI ‘Factory Farming of Humans’

A world-renowned Harvard University professor is sounding the alarm about an emerging AI-driven system that threatens to strip ordinary people of their autonomy and hand unprecedented power to unelected tech corporations.

Historian Jill Lepore warns that powerful elites are constructing what she calls an “artificial state,” a system in which critical decisions once made by citizens and accountable governments are increasingly surrendered to machines controlled by corporations.

Lepore has previously described the transformation in chilling terms as the “factory farming of public life.”

Speaking on “The New York Times” podcast “Hard Fork,” Lepore warned that the traditional nation-state, particularly constitutional democracy, is being steadily displaced by technology that removes human beings from the decision-making process.

Government under such a system would operate “not by the consent of people but by machines that are making decisions,” Lepore said.

And those machines belong to corporations.

‘They’re Not Interested in What the People Want’

Lepore stresses that the “artificial state” has not completely arrived.

However, she warns that its infrastructure is already being constructed around the public.

Meanwhile, influential elites are openly envisioning a future in which their technological systems wield powers traditionally reserved for governments accountable to voters.

“The rhetoric that comes out of this particular historical moment is really about the evanescence of modern liberal democracy, constitutional democracy,” Lepore said.

According to Lepore, the people pushing that vision aren’t “interested in what the people want.”

“Because actually, what the people want is not to have AI and not to have data centers,” she continued.

“So that’s the crisis.”

Lepore expands on the warning in her upcoming book “The Rise and Fall of the Artificial State.”

Her investigation began with a deceptively simple question about the increasing replacement of human interaction with automated systems.

“Who decided this is a way we should be living?” Lepore asks.

‘Factory Farming of Public Life’

Lepore argues that society is undergoing a profound transfer of power as corporations increasingly control the infrastructure through which Americans communicate, obtain information, and participate in public life.

News, political information, election coverage, and even information about candidates increasingly reach voters through privately controlled digital platforms.

AI is now accelerating that transformation.

Lepore previously described the emerging system in an article for The New Yorker as the “factory farming of public life, the sorting and segmenting, the isolation and alienation, the destruction of human community.”

The warning points to a society in which human beings are increasingly separated from one another while algorithms mediate their relationships with institutions, businesses, information, and eventually government itself.

Instead of interacting with another person, Americans increasingly encounter chatbots.

Instead of discussing political questions with neighbors, officials, or experts, voters are beginning to ask AI chatbots whom they should support.

Political communications are increasingly being generated with AI, while government officials are using the technology to assist decision-making.

Meanwhile, AI-powered systems are making mass surveillance dramatically easier by processing enormous quantities of information collected about ordinary citizens.

Silicon Valley Pushes AI as ‘Inevitable’

Lepore also takes aim at one of the most powerful arguments coming from Silicon Valley: that the AI revolution cannot be stopped.

The public is repeatedly told that artificial intelligence is inevitable and that governments must get out of the way or risk falling behind.

Lepore rejects that fatalism as a “bogus premise.”

Central to the argument, she says, are claims that government regulation inevitably destroys innovation and that technological advancement inherently strengthens democracy.

Lepore warns that neither proposition should simply be accepted.

The same promises accompanied previous technological revolutions.

“So now, the AI people come back with the same argument that was made about the internet — the personal computer, the internet, and social media,” she said.

Machines Are Moving Deeper Into Human Decision-Making

The stakes are now significantly higher because AI is not merely another communications technology.

The machines are increasingly being inserted directly into decisions that once required human judgment.

AI systems are influencing what people read, what information they encounter, how institutions communicate with them, and how governments and corporations process enormous quantities of personal data.

Lepore’s warning is ultimately about who controls those systems and therefore who controls the decisions they increasingly make.

Under constitutional government, political power is theoretically derived from citizens who can hold elected officials accountable.

Under the “artificial state” Lepore describes, that relationship begins to break down as algorithms controlled by enormously powerful corporations assume functions once exercised by people and public institutions.

The result is the chilling system she describes as the “factory farming of public life,” where citizens are sorted, segmented, surveilled, and increasingly isolated from one another while machines quietly assume greater control over their lives.

And Lepore’s most disturbing question remains unanswered:

“Who decided this is a way we should be living?”

If you’ve spent any time online in the last few years, you’ve probably noticed something. There are channels out there — podcasts, YouTube shows, social media accounts — that seem to have massive followings. They talk about hidden agendas, secret plots, suppressed technologies, and they make it sound like they’re the only ones brave enough to tell you the truth.

And if you’ve ever watched those channels and thought something doesn’t add up here — you were right.

In the video below, I walk through what published research, government data, and platform analytics actually show about these channels: who’s watching them, how big their audiences really are, why those audiences are shrinking, and what’s actually happening behind the numbers they claim. The Ceiling Nobody Talks About

Here’s the first thing to understand, because this is the piece that most people in the conspiracy media space either don’t know or won’t tell you.

Every major platform — YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook — has built systems that put a hard ceiling on conspiracy content. I’m not talking about removing videos. I’m talking about something more subtle: they stop recommending them.

What does that mean in practical terms? A conspiracy channel can have a hundred thousand subscribers, and those subscribers might still see the videos. But the platform won’t show those videos to new people through search results or the recommended feed. The channel is in a box. It can’t grow.

And here’s what’s important — the creator often doesn’t even know this is happening. They see their subscriber count, they see views from their existing audience, and they think everything is fine. But the pipeline of new viewers has been cut off. Researchers affiliated with UC Berkeley confirmed this: they analyzed nearly 800 political channels and found that recommendation traffic systematically flows away from conspiracy and fringe channels toward mainstream media and cable news content. The algorithm is actively steering new viewers away from them.

Meanwhile, what’s YouTube actually promoting? Educational content. Channels like TEDx Talks with 44 million subscribers. The Bible Project with over 7 million. Veritasium, Smarter Every Day, Mark Rober — tens of millions each. These channels aren’t just surviving. They’re the ones being actively pushed into people’s recommended feeds because the platform has decided that content which genuinely helps people is better for business than content that scares them.

TikTok is doing the same thing. In 2025, educational content on TikTok saw roughly 40 percent year-over-year growth. TikTok even built a dedicated STEM feed to promote this kind of content, and reports STEM-related content growing double digits since its launch. At the same time, they’re explicitly downranking sensationalist framing — all-caps titles, the “you won’t believe” style.

So here’s truth number one: every major platform is structurally designed to promote content that educates, informs, and helps people — and to suppress content that alarms, misleads, or promotes unverified claims. If you’re someone who wants real information, that’s actually good news. The system rewards creators who do the work of sourcing their claims and respecting their audience.

Scripture names this pattern three thousand years before algorithms existed. Psalm 2 opens by asking why nations conspire and peoples plot — and the striking word there is in vain. Not just wrong, but futile. The plotting collapses under its own weight eventually. That’s not just a spiritual truth — it’s the data pattern above. The predictions fail. The audiences leave. The plots against truth don’t hold up.

The Alt-Platform Illusion

Now let’s talk about what happens when conspiracy creators get suppressed on mainstream platforms. Many of them migrate to alternative platforms — Rumble being the most prominent one. And they tell their audiences: “Come follow me where they can’t censor me.”

If you look at the surface numbers, it seems like it’s working. Some of these creators claim millions of views on Rumble. Let’s look at what the data actually shows.

Rumble’s total monthly active user base is estimated at 50–70 million globally depending on the source and quarter measured. YouTube’s is roughly 2.5–2.7 billion. That means Rumble’s entire worldwide audience is somewhere around 2 percent the size of YouTube’s. You’re not moving to a bigger stage — you’re moving to a room that’s dramatically smaller.

The audience composition is narrow, too. Third-party traffic analytics put Rumble’s user base at roughly 65 percent male, and the platform grew primarily during the 2020 election cycle as politically right-leaning creators migrated from YouTube. The platform’s own growth history tells the story: for seven years, from 2013 to 2020, Rumble was primarily a platform for sharing viral videos of pets and children. Then political content took over and defined its identity.

Here’s where it gets important for anyone who’s been told alternative platforms are where the “real” audiences are: there are documented questions about the authenticity of view counts on some of these platforms. When a creator claims millions of views but has almost no comments, no community discussion, and sponsors reporting declining sales — that’s a red flag.

I’m not telling you what to think about this. I’m showing you the numbers. When someone tells you their audience is huge and growing, ask yourself: are they on a platform where you can verify those numbers independently? Are the engagement metrics — comments, community interaction, actual purchases from sponsors — consistent with the view counts they’re claiming? Eyes open.

The Audience Is Leaving

We’ve established that platforms are capping conspiracy content and that the alternative platforms are a fraction of the size they’re made out to be. But there’s a third factor that’s even more significant, and it’s happening right now in 2026.

People are leaving. Not just tuning out one channel — leaving entire movements and belief systems built around conspiracy and grievance.

A nonprofit called Leaving MAGA, founded by a former MAGA podcaster, is reporting record-high fundraising and engagement — pulling in roughly $100,000 in the first half of 2026 alone, nearly matching its entire prior-year total. A Pew Research Center poll from January 2026 found that only 27 percent of Americans say they support all or most of the administration’s policies, down from 35 percent when it began — with the decline coming almost entirely from within the Republican base itself.

Even the loudest voices in the movement are turning on each other. Tucker Carlson has publicly declared he’s “out” of the Republican Party. Alex Jones called for the president’s impeachment over the Iran war. Nick Fuentes called the whole movement “the biggest scam in American history.” When the people at the top of a movement start devouring each other, the audience underneath them starts to come apart too.

QAnon specifically has spent years in a disillusionment spiral. Every major prediction has failed. The promised mass arrests never came. The “storm” never arrived. At some point, the pattern of rationalizing failed predictions breaks down, and people just… walk away, quietly, without ever making an announcement.

If you’re someone who followed some of these channels — maybe for years — and you’re starting to feel that something is off, I want you to know something: that feeling is valid. You are not foolish for having been drawn in. These channels use very sophisticated techniques, and researchers who study the psychology of conspiracy belief have documented how this content exploits real, deep-rooted psychological mechanisms — the same threat-detection and pattern-recognition systems that make surprising or alarming information hard to look away from. You weren’t weak. You were human.

But here’s what I also want you to hear: the fact that you’re questioning it now means your critical thinking is working. That’s exactly what this channel is about. We don’t tell you what to think here. We look at what’s been documented, we examine the evidence, and we give you the tools to make your own informed decisions.

Follow the Money

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” — 2 Timothy 1:7, KJV

Paul told Timothy that fear isn’t the spirit God hands His people — power, love, and a sound mind are. Keep that in mind for what we’re about to look at, because fear turns out to be the actual business model behind a lot of these channels. It’s not an accident when the content scares you and an ad right after it offers the cure. A sound mind is exactly what that system is designed to bypass.

Researchers at NYU’s Cybersecurity for Democracy project conducted the first major study of advertising on conspiracy YouTube channels. What they found should concern anyone who watches this type of content: conspiracy channels had nearly 11 times the rate of predatory or deceptive advertising compared to mainstream channels — get-rich-quick schemes, and financial products with terms that most buyers didn’t fully understand.

Among those financial products, one category stands out: gold IRA companies. If you’ve watched conservative or alternative media, you’ve seen these ads. A trusted-sounding host tells you the economy is about to collapse and you need to move your retirement savings into physical gold. It sounds reasonable. But here’s what federal regulators have documented.

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission — a federal government agency — has issued public warnings about precious metals IRA fraud. They’ve documented a case where a gold dealer and IRA custodian charged nearly $150,000 in commissions and fees to a customer who rolled over a $300,000 retirement account. AARP has warned that some companies have charged up to 300 percent above market prices for their gold and silver — with victims on average paying 100 to 300 percent over prevailing market prices.

That’s not a fee. That’s a third of someone’s retirement account, gone, and they didn’t find out until it was too late to do anything about it.

Do you see how the system works? The conspiracy content creates fear and anxiety about the economy and the government. Then the gold company runs an ad right in the middle of that content, offering a “solution” to the fear the content just created. The channel gets paid for the ad regardless of whether the viewer gets a fair deal. And the viewer, already in a state of anxiety, makes a financial decision driven by emotion rather than information.

This is not a conspiracy theory. This is a documented business model — and it’s one of the reasons I believe so strongly that people deserve educational content that empowers them to make informed decisions, not fear-based content that primes them to be exploited.

Here’s something we’ve seen firsthand from having worked in this industry ourselves: some of the biggest names in alt-media aren’t just running gold ads between segments — in at least one documented court case, a major alternative media network was revealed to have received roughly 80 percent of its funding from a single gold company. We’re not naming the network here, because this isn’t really about one show — it’s about a pattern worth understanding.

Here’s what we think that pattern means. When a network’s survival depends that heavily on one advertiser, that advertiser isn’t just buying airtime — they’re effectively controlling a huge share of what airtime is available to anyone else. Other potential sponsors don’t get a real, open shot at that inventory, because the biggest slice is already spoken for. And a network that can’t afford to lose its top funder has an obvious incentive — whether it’s ever said out loud or not — to keep producing the kind of content that keeps that funder’s product selling.

When 80 percent of your paycheck comes from one gold company, you don’t need a conspiracy to explain what stories that show is going to cover. That’s just how paychecks work. “Follow the money” isn’t just a saying — it’s a programming schedule.

To be clear, this is our opinion based on what we’ve observed in this space, not a claim about any specific host’s intentions. But it’s worth asking, as a viewer: who is actually paying for the show you’re watching, and what does that funder need you to feel in order to keep paying for it?

This isn’t a new problem. It’s actually the one thing that made Jesus angry enough to flip furniture. The money changers in the temple weren’t running an illegal scheme — they were doing something people technically needed, in the one place people had nowhere else to turn. Jesus didn’t get angry at commerce. He got angry at commerce that used people’s trust and need against them, dressed up in a place that was supposed to be safe. That’s worth sitting with the next time a trusted voice tells you your fear about the economy has a $50,000 solution.

“It is written,” he said to them, “’My house will be called a house of prayer,’ but you are making it ‘a den of robbers.’” — Matthew 21:13, NIV

Who were the money changers? What were they doing? Why was Jesus so angry? Jewish pilgrims traveling to Jerusalem for Passover had to pay the temple tax in special half-shekel temple coinage — Roman currency wasn’t accepted because it bore Caesar’s image. Money changers set up tables in the temple courts to exchange pilgrims’ everyday currency for that required temple coin, and charged steep exchange fees to do it — plus sold sacrificial animals at marked-up prices to people who had no other option once they’d arrived. It was a captive market: pilgrims had to pay, in a currency they could only get from these specific dealers, inside the one place they’d come to worship.

What People Actually Want

Gallup polling shows that trust in media has hit an all-time low. Fewer than three in ten Americans (28 percent, per the latest reading) trust newspapers, television, and radio to report the news fully, fairly, and accurately. Among younger Americans, that number is even lower. This isn’t just one political group — trust has declined across Democrats, Republicans, and independents alike, though Republican trust has collapsed into the single digits.

People don’t trust mainstream media. And increasingly, they don’t trust conspiracy media either, because the predictions keep failing and the promises keep breaking. So where does that leave us?

It leaves a massive space for something different — content that says: I’m not going to tell you the mainstream story, and I’m not going to tell you the conspiracy story. I’m going to show you the published evidence, cite my sources, ask honest questions, and respect you enough to let you think for yourself.

Jesus warned about this exact thing, more than once. In Matthew 24, His disciples asked Him what to watch for before the end, and the very first word out of His mouth was a warning: “Take heed that no man deceive you.” He said false prophets would rise and deceive many — convincingly enough to fool even the faithful, if that were possible. That’s not a warning about people who are obviously lying to you. It’s a warning that deception is most dangerous when it’s persuasive, when it comes from someone who sounds sure of himself, when it’s wrapped in something that looks like truth. That’s exactly why sourcing matters — not because I want you to trust me blindly instead, but because a claim you can actually verify is the one thing deception can’t survive.

That’s what I’m trying to build here. Whether we’re talking about technology, faith, current events, or practical skills for living a more self-sufficient life — the approach is the same. Examine the evidence. Cite the sources. Ask the hard questions. And never, ever, tell you what to think.
